3. What are some tropes or details that you think are very characteristic of your fics?

tight third-person POV, sex and kink as characterization, happy endings [for the characters i like, anyway], canon-adjacent if not compliant, and i’d like to think i give my characters a lot of interiority.

37. Promote one of your own “deep cut” fics (an underrated one, or one that never got as much traction as you think it deserves!). What do you like about it?

god basically all my mota fics published in 2025 or later are underrated imho, but. i really wish more people cared about got them preachin’ that we’re hellbound because i’m putting SO much work into crafting pre-war NYC, hashing out curt’s family stuff, and slotting bucky into both of those things, as well as all my speculation on what curt and bucky were like in their early 20s, and how that transforms into the almost-30-years-old characters we see in the show. i get why it’s not super popular but. it’s the most My Baby™️ of all my current wips.

7. Any worldbuilding you’re particularly proud of?

god. i love world-building. all of it? i have some stuff lurking in the background of mota omegaverse that i haven’t fully expanded on yet, including:

i’m doing the thing most omegaverse writers do where there is a pharmaceutical solution to the problem of “we have all three dynamics in close contact and how are we going to control that.” for my verse it’s a semi-annual injection that has three main mechanisms: contraception, instinct-suppression, and scent-dulling/masking. contraception is the primary effect, the instinct-suppression is a secondary effect of halting the reproductive system since having fewer hormones in an alpha’s or omega’s system in particular dulls the instinctual behavior to a lesser degree, and the scent-masking is the least effective effect because while scent glands are part of the endocrine system, it’s different chemicals being expressed externally than are present internally. so it’s like a 75% reduction in fertility, a 50% reduction in the strength of instinctual behavior, and a 25% dulling of scents, which is enough to allow for functional close-quarters interaction on a routine basis without entirely stripping military personnel of an aspect of their identity. there are more efficient ways to suppress scent but they’re primarily topical and not something the bomber crews especially bother with day-to-day. mostly.

all dynamics, but especially alphas and omegas, are susceptible to their heads going a little haywire if they’re in isolation for an extended period of time, particularly if they’ve established pack bonds with people outside of/in addition to the biological bonds between direct family members. it gets harder to suppress or think through instinctual drives and is colloquially referred to as “going feral.” what that looks like can vary, but in general it’s increased hostility for alphas and increased passivity for omegas.

i have thoughts about the biological development of dual-system dynamics [i.e. female alphas and male omegas] that involves the “failed” suppression of the formation of the wolffian and mullerian ducts during fetal development, but that is really and truly an entire other post and also will NOT come up in the fic lmao.

i also have some stuff planned wrt the difference between how the americans treat dynamics and interactions vs how europeans treat the same concepts, and there is GOING to be some friction between the two 😈

for my ‘verse there’s none of that “alpha females can’t get pregnant/omega males can’t impregnate” bullshit, but there are differences in levels of fertility/viability.

i have other ideas but these are the big top of mind ones right now! it’s so much fun figuring out how the social dynamics would change with an EXTRA layer of gender so i’m sure i’ll come up with more.

maaaaaaaaan they are probably just as well matched as Al and Benny, honestly, except I think what’d tip the scales between the two of them is experience instead of size, since they’re the same age and pretty much the same build as well. Jimmy does have his frozen-over combat face to slip into, and Charlie’s got the >:[ emotion going on, which would probably impact his fighting a bit, but Jimmy’s formally trained and up against someone used to fighting for his life on the street since he was a kid, so Charlie is a bit better at improvising and fighting in a way Jimmy might not predict and also uh. if/when Charlie gets in a spot where he feels like he’s gonna lose [and maybe even before] he definitely fights dirty wrt Jimmy’s leg being a weak spot. so Charlie wins but it’s not a clean or short fight.

[Meyer’s reaction, as long as it’s happening somewhere that doesn’t impact his business and as long as he doesn’t think Charlie’s gonna get fucked up too badly, is literally popcorn.gif and then patching Charlie up after at which point it probably gets pornographic whoops gotta love that violence kink]

Benny Siegel vs Al Capone, GO!

oh god okay this one is actually kind of difficult, because they are both absolutely excellent brawlers, and Benny’s berserker bloodlust is neck and neck with Al’s syphilitic bulldog rage, so like. I think if it’s a “no items Fox only Final Destination” situation, thanks to his advantage of having more muscle mass Al might win? just barely because they’re matched for skill and enthusiasm, but he’s got at least a few dozen pounds on the string-bean that is Benny Siegel, especially if they’re running canon ages and Al has seven years on Benny. it’s reeeeal close though.
