                “HMM?”   She’s caught a little off guard by the question,  dark eyes flickering up to his in confusion for a moment,  before she’s reminded of her injuries-- nothing  too  bad,  a few cuts and bruises,  but enough to leave her fairly sore.  “Oh.  No one,”  Leia is quick to assure him,  realising how it must look.  “I got in the way of a collapsing corridor,  unfortunately,”  she adds with a slight purse of her lips.  One of the dangers of choosing a planet so adverse to supporting most life,  she supposes.

                      GROGGY AND DISORIENTED,    for a moment she’s certain the sound of footsteps approaching her is signaling her end.  But forcing her eyes open,  Leia freezes as her gaze fixes upon his face ---- it’s  unexpected,  she’s not even certain how to react.  Instinctively she shrinks away,  eyes narrowing though also fearful.  “Don’t touch me,”  she growls as a warning,  managing to push herself to sit,  her back against a tree as her hands press over a wound on her side.  “What do you want?”

                   AT LEAST NOW   Leia has an answer as to why she’s been feeling like this ---- the nausea,  exhaustion,  random outbursts of emotion,  it all makes sense now.  Part of her is shocked,  another part knows it was only a matter of time before something like this happened now that they live in their own apartment and can have as much privacy as they like.  She’s not certain how to tell Galen,  however.  She waits until after dinner,  as they’re curled up in bed watching a movie that she’s barely paying attention to.  But she still doesn’t know how to tell him,  and rather than giving it more thought,  she simply blurts out the first thing that comes to mind.  “So,  apparently we made a tiny human.”
