I've imagined Jack to have a day job at a mechinc's shop for some income and so John and Abigail (when I add them) don't nag him about being a bum around the house, but now that's expanded because I think Isaac had been the one to get him the job in the first place. I don't see Jack being very good at customer service (speaks plainly and tries to be friendly but it comes off too awkward, and he does have issues with smoothing out a bit of his temper) so this was a good medium. No one really chats up the guy under the truck doing shit... but that of course required him to relearn all the shit John tried to teach him about vehicles that he half listened to when he was younger. He has yet to ruin anyone's truck despite his amateur skills.

It's an in-progress idea, but right now I'm thinking that the mechanic's place could be owned by Arthur or that he just works there too and it's maybe an associated business with whatever criminal element I decide that Dutch is going to gravitate to. I've seen biker gangs be a popular idea among other modern aus for Red Dead... and it is intriguing. My own dad used to be in one (or rather just a club, not a gang) before his body went on him, so I might go that route
