ao3 folks: what format is best for a long fic?

Context: I’m fairly new to the site and have a long fic I would like to put out (currently ~100k words). My fic follows a three part structure (although I have a prologue, 2 alternate endings, and some bonus content that I may or may not post). While some elements are still in flux there maybe 20 (or more) chapters in act one alone, with word counts spanning between ~2000-10,000.

I have already put out a prologue and just put out the first chapter of act one today but realized that I am not familiar with best practices here (I’ve done some research but not sure I’ve found an answer I think works)

I’ve currently structured it into a series on ao3 but would it be best to have all the chapters for act one fall under part one of the series, or to have each chapter act as a part in the series and then have three connected series? An mysterious third option I’m overlooking?

I know this is a bit “rambly”and I’m still confused myself but I truly would appreciate any sort of feedback or advice! ❤️

Can someone PLEASE explain homophobia to me?

I grew up conservative, in an anti-gay household, (because they will all go to hell, ya know) and although I don't wish to be in a homosexual relationship, I don't understand all of the homosexual hatred.

Who cares what your sexual preference is?  I believe that we were created on this earth to love & to not judge anyone.  And before I go off on a rant to some of my family about how it is not their place to judge others' lifestyles and that they need to just shut the hell up and accept people, it would be great if someone could shine some light on this for me.

I don't care if you are homophobic or if you have been fabulously proclaiming your gay (& you're gay) since the moment you were born, if you're a girl or a guy or can't decide or don't feel like you are the gender you've been assigned or if you embrace your gender role.  If you can explain to me why someone may be so opposed to homosexuality, that would be superb.
