Essie Moore was always a night owl in every sense of the world, and as a young one would traverse the sketchiest of streets alone just to possibly make a friend. Now that she had been a big girl for quite some time, she spent her nights socializing in dive bars and dancing home in a happy little haze. Some nights, she’d disappear into the apartment of some interesting person. Tonight may have been one of those nights if she wasn’t on her way to the convenience store for a nice bottle of good ol’ nyquil for what felt like one of the worst colds she had in ages. Clad in thick sweaters, leggings under a floor length skirt, and a couple of thick scarves, she made her way down the sidewalk, looking and feeling like a moving pile of fabric.
