I don't know if it's funnier that Link canonically eats rock roast or that Daruk and the other Gorons offered it to seriously him the first place.

The fact that in Japanese Link calls Mipha beautiful under the luminous stone light, has to bring her flowers to unlock her spear training (and it is her that trains him in JP), and is given the armour ("It's probably fine to be wearing this. Probably.") Because he's feeling anxious about marrying a princess and the fact that it mirrors what Mipha said about her hesitance with giving Link the armour in her diary because she's nervous about it too?? AAAA UUUURGGGHHHH THEYre so cute together. I've been flamed for saying this in public so I thought an anon message might be better... But I LOVE THEM. AoC MiphLink and he brings her flowers and calls her beautiful and it's in CANON??? That's not fan fiction??? It's Right there In the GAME??? "Link I knew you would come for me"??? I am so unwell about them.

the tunic of the wild armor set is my favorite iteration of the classic hero's tunic/armor so far. i like it even better than tp or oot. it feels like a modern throwback to the og zelda 1 tunic. it makes me so sad that people hate his little shorts i think they suit him so well

Age of Calamity got way too much hate for what it was. Anyone who complained about how it 'disrupted the holy timeline' when the future gang arrived wasn't paying attention to the opening cutscene where Terrako went back in time.

I don't think AoC zelink is "the same" but I still think it's cute in the puppy love sense? Especially in the quests you we do get and the cutscenes. Like teaching her to ride the master cycle is an objectively cute moment (to me)

Speaking of Master Kohga, I just realized it might not actually be weird that he's in AoC. The Yiga were once Sheikah and Sheikah have long life spans. They don't have to shrink like Impa did either. The shrine monks didn't, they just got old. Maybe all the bananas and a little bit of the evil helped him keep his stature. 🤔

I hate that Daruk is underrated!! He deserves more love. He’s like the fun uncle of the Champions!!! Urbosa’s the mom, obviously, Link and Revali are the problem childs, Zelda is the favorite, and Mipha is the younger sister that everyone loves.
They’re a messed up family your honor

AoC removed all the tension and friction from Link and Zelda's relationship in BotW... it's not even the same ship at that point. Now with the Voice Memories, we see way more of Zelda's personal projections and discomfort over Link in BotW that are completely absent in AoC. There's like one scene in AoC where she feels a little bad but it's completely brushed aside and has little consequence on anything. I just can't figure out how anyone could see it as the same thing across the two games. It's completely different...I guess this is the result of the AoC devs wanting to keep the Master Sword until later, it's like an AU fanfiction where the characters share the same names but the story and relationships have changed significantly.
