The Garden Studio, London, United Kingdom,

Completed in Summer 2022, The Garden Studio was conceived by AOMD as small scale exploration into their approach to low-tech, locally sourced and material first design.

The self-build cost only £4500, the modules and frame were designed around self assembly. Between studs is hemp insulation with an external wood fibre sheathing board. The frame is lined internally with ESB board; 100% wood pulp, with no glue, creating a more precise and vapour permeable wall than OSB or ply. Breathable chalk paint and marmoleum are used as surface and finish. In embodied carbon calculations the studio achieves 455 CO2e far below the LETI 2020 targets.

if y’all haven’t seen Jade’s first solo performance change that ✨

heres some of my favorite things from it!

1. the western vibe of midnight cowboy live

2. the vocals from her cover of Frozen by madonna

3. this dance for fantasy it’s so pop girly coded despite how simple it is and im obsessed

4. her falsetto live for fantasy which always makes me levitate

5. the slow break she always does for fantasy when she serves us nothing but vocals

6. her voice cracking during her explanation behind AOMD which made me cry with her

7. the intro SAD version of AOMD that will always make me cry from how raw and full of emotion she sounds

8. her consistently eating up these high notes for this particular part of AOMD every time she sings it live

9. the crowd singing love you so loudly you can hear it since they’re early 🥹

there’s so many more mentionable moments like the little mix songs medley and her shout out to the girls, and how she shouts out her band, dancers, and backup singers which is something all the girls always do and it should be the standard as it’s just so heartwarming to see them appreciated; the pride flag during her cover of FROZEN by madonna, etc
