When The Prosperity enters the area around Kor'sel'Koo where communications transmissions are most accessible, Muffy and Hero find themselves met with a wave of messages to sift through and sort.

By the time the crew touches down on Kor'Sel'Koo on 3/22/24, all of the messages have been sorted and provided and we pick up a new crew member: Mari, a quirky mate who is 4'6" of apparently pure enthusiasm.

The crew doesn't immediately settle down, as there are messages to read and Gilmore Gilrs to figure out.

Muzzain, the far'ly'dae one who ordered all of that Gilmore Girls merchandise, is staying temporarily in Wuunzek, a smallish city about an hour (by underground tunnel train) from Twarvu.

Wuunzek includes a variety of amenities, including Yggld Bars, the Inspired By Earth Waterpark (it's got a lazy river, a waterslide, and a wave pool), an enormous vitamin store aimed at Ly'Daesun called Yonrur, and more.

Wuunzek Population: 89% Far’Ly’Dae, 9% Erkuss, 1% Vanneer, 1% Carrek.

The process of getting the Gilmore Girls merchandise to the right place now will be... annoying because most of it actually needs to go to Twarvu. While it would normally take an hour and a half, the crew will probably take a full 24 hours to get their surreptiously.

Circa approx. 3400 BCE, the parchment is very tattered, but has been preserved for some time. The only visible sentence states:

None have opened the door since our [untranslatable word] departed.

This document again references the untranslateable “kiru”, but it would be transliterated as “qiru” in the old Vanneer language Eesomdet. The text is written in Eesomdet.

The cave of kiru is a great adventure and mystery of long life. We dare not open it. We alone are trusted with the secret of eternal life in this cave, but we will not open it. Our lives are good and long enough, and we must appreciate [unreadable text] intense danger within is enough to [unreadable text]

This text is written in the Shavul language, and comes from the private collection of a long line of amateur archaeologists.

The crew of Prosperity secured two jobs in the Kor'Sel'Koo city of Baelsk.

The first job is to ship a cargo hold's worth of Earth-imported sculptures from a warehouse on Aemmu to a gallery on Baelsk. While machines can load the Prosperity's cargo hold, the gallery has a lot of other, more delicate pieces and cannot handle the space of loading machines. Instead, Prosperity's crew will need to act as careful movers to arrange the pieces in the gallery to the patron's specifications. Unfortunately, the patron is very particular, so this will take some days. All mates and combat positions (close combat, gunner) will need to participate for a week.

The second mission in Baelsk involves less physical labor. A second patron wants to create a galactic streaming service featuring programs downloaded off of Netflix, Hulu, and other services. They want experienced Earth visitors like the crew from Prosperity to watch the content and categorize it by genre and content. While there is some guesswork and technology that could assist in the process, the patron wants to have very accurate tagging. There was a lot of content downloaded, so this will take a lot of time.

Some samples of the streaming categories that they are looking for are by whether the color grading is cool or warm, if there is a cat featured anywhere in the film, and how many minutes long the film is. There are other categories, as well, including the genre of the film and whether or not it is animated.

Everyone outside of mates combat positions will take a turn at watching in addition to their usual jobs from the start. The mates and combat positions will take shifts watching after their week of moving items around the gallery is complete.

Baelsk happens to be the home (separately) of two friends of the crew: C'tau Vuker, and former crew member Daniel Eansworth. Another former crew member, Stella Sarasvati, also promised to visit from Twarvu. Daniel will be visiting frequently and doing some work on the ship's garden. Stella just wants to visit. C'tau is particularly fond of Ali and Sky, and wants to invite the whole Prosperity crew to her fashion show that is upcoming.

The city of Baelsk is a thriving and fun city on Kor'Sel'Koo. With a rich culture and quirky mix of architectural styles, it is a favorite city of the cosmopolitan sort. The city featured art galleries, fashion houses, museums, cinemas showing highbrow and lowbrow works by both galactic and Earth artists, and theaters.

Baelsk is mainly populated by Ly'Daesun, but has a significant minority of Erkuss and a small but visible amount of Vanniree. In contrast to much of the galaxy, ground floor residences are the most expensive because of the many Ly'Daesun that preferr being close to the ground. The second most expensive residences are penthouses that featured rooftop gardens. More affordable apartments and condos exist on the middle floors of buildings. Most of the older buildings are not particularly tall due to the Ly'Daesun early settlers preferring to be close to the ground floor, but there are architecturally marvelous newer skyscrapers that dot the landscape to house people and businesses. It is relatively common for buildings to have private residences on the first floor and stairs on the exterior of the building. Those stairs lead up to the directly second floor where the shop or business is. So the homes are on floor one and the businesses are on floor two in a lot of those shorter buildings.

The city sits 300 miles southeast of Twarvu on a beautiful peninsula. While the city is considered very pretty, its layout was not planned out when first settled. Baelsk is pedestrian-friendly and can largely be navigated on foot or by bus, but the paths can take some interesting directions.

Baelsk's weather is beautiful year-round with very mild winters (it never gets cold enough to snow), pretty springs with lots of blooms, and relatively hot summers.

Here are some interesting amenities sites to visit in Baelsk:

Fine Art Regional Transit (FART): Named by a city official who thought they were very funny, the city operates buses which are free for Baelsk residents and low cost for visitors. The bus drivers wear uniforms designed by local fashion designers, and the buses display prints of local artists' work on the ceiling and exteriors.

The Dining Arcade: Since the city is largely populated by Ly'Daesun, there are not very many restaurants throughout Baelsk. You can always find somewhere serviceable to eat nearby, but it's not usually anything impressive. In The Dining Arcade, yummy and/or restaurants catering to the residents and visitors who need to eat abound. Basket Bowl is the most popular fast casual restaurant, and it serves healthy but yummy grain bowls. The most popular fancy restaurant is called Argumentative, and it is in the style of a high class steakhouse.

Danube Theater: A well-known 1,500 seat theater on the North End.

The North End is named after the West End theaters in the UK, and is so named because it is in the northern part of the peninsula close to the coast. The major theaters purposefully all moved to be near each other around 50 years ago, so most of the theaters here are relatively new. The North End area also features a variety of business headquarters, homes and shops.

Pretty Park: A beautiful park with opulent but sustainable fountains and plants. It marks the border between the North End and Fashion Square

C: C'tau Vuker's fashion studio that she opened recently which she is trying to make much more popular. C'tau is planning on having a fashion show in the near future in her studio.

Fashion Square: A variety of bespoke and manufactured clothing shops and galleries sit here. Additionally, there are two fabric factories that have storefronts. There are seasonal fashion shows on occasion. Great for avant-garde and practical shoppers alike!

Gallery Prime: An art gallery where our crew has a job. There is a lot of modern sculpture art, paintings, and sketches. The owner despises showing and selling anything too realistic.

Silessanuh Beach: Beautiful waves, the Sylessanuh Beach Cafe serving smoothies and acai-style bowls, and ocean waves for great surfing.

PLOT DROP 46: PUB-LICITY

After dropping off the cargo hold's contents on Dolnoh, the crew headed to the planet of Aemmu in the city of Nackron.

Since the last time that the crew of Prosperity visited the planet, the government of Aemmu put in an application to join the Galactic Union. For now, it is still an outpost planet and outside of the jurisdiction of the Galactic Union's policing.

There has been some literal 'cleaning up' of the city of Nackron lately, with public waste bins and restrooms being propped up around. The city is still smuggler-oriented, but it cleans itself up nicely to not seem like a scummy place compared to the rest of the outpost planet.

As for the mission, the popular smuggler-friendly pub The Camelopardalis (called The Camelo for short) is establishing a galaxy-wide pub trivia contest. The pub's owner and founder, Madame (yes, that's her name), has talked up this pub trivia with all of her pub friends and business acquaintances. However, Madame is just one person who only knows so many things. A crew with an Earth expert and people with lots of different interests and experiences is perfect to write the vast number of questions needed for a multi-week quiz extravaganza.

Madame pays well, and offers occasional free drinks to the workers- mocktail and alcoholic are both available.

The Camelo is a pretty impressive pub, with franchised locations on a variety of different planets. Not all of the pubs participating in the trivia contest are Camelos, but it's good to know you can find them scattered about the galaxy.

Some of the coolest features of The Camelo include a virtual sports simulator room, extreme darts (the darts are just really big), a modest collection of 7 pinball machines of various Earth properties, and a purple pool table.

It's a great place to work for the time being.

PLOT DROP 45: ALL KYLED UP

Kyle Rroch and Daphne probably shouldn't have been having an argument in the middle of the Archive Center, but apparently nothing stopped them from making bad choices and being overheard.

"What? No, I'm not going to give you a promotion for suggesting that we go to this planet. Why would you ask me that?" Daphne regretted leaving the ship to check on the work in The Archive Center now.

"Buuuuut I did really good. I'm the best mate your ship's got," Kyle said, posing like a superhero (which he was not).

Daphne stared at him, barely able to contain her loathing. "You would not have a job if not for it being convenient," she hissed. "You know very well that if my parents hadn't-" Daphne paused, realizing that she was likely being overheard by much of her crew as well as many strangers. "Let's take this back to the ship."

Kyle and Daphne started back toward the ship, and Daphne kept loudly needing to shush Kyle whenever the idiotic man tried to speak.

Immediately upon getting back on the ship, rather than waiting until they were somewhere more private, Kyle started basically yelling his thoughts. "I am a longtime crew member and I deserve a promotion for my hard work! I am the reason why we are all safe, and I am being very cool right now for not demanding more."

This was the most that Kyle had talked in a while. Normally, if this was anyone else, Daphne would be pleased to hear the crew member out. But Kyle was... Kyle.

"Listen. To. Me," Daphne said, even though she passed by a number of crew members as she and Kyle spoke. "You are most ideally suited to being a mate on my ship. You are here because I have been functionally blackmailed into this. I would have much more pressure to get married to someone horrible, and you wouldn't have a job if that happened. Your father is a business associate and friends with my parents, and his needing to keep you here is why you have any job here. Keep your head down and don't ask me again unless you would like even worse dirty laundry aired in front of our crew."

The actual ship Hero, the one who worked in communications, totally overheard that last part and told everyone that she knew on the ship about what she overheard.

Seeing as Ayshena and her band of galx space cops haven't followed the crew of Prosperity to Oggdel'Lu, Daphne decided it was time to offload those trading cards in the cargo hold. Next stop? The Stronghold on Dolnoh. 

After that, the crew will go to the city of Nackron on the outpost planet Aemmu (most notable for being the site of Sky and Ali's bachelor party several years ago).

This mission would not involve going to Earth, and would instead call on everyone's expertise to help write Pub trivia questions for a galactic pub network's competition that needs to have great Earth media questions.

PLOT DROP 44: TOTALLY KYLE

Kyle Rroch is a longtime crew member on Prosperity, but that doesn't mean that he has made many friends in his time there. Most of the time, he keeps to himself unless it is to tell people about his favorite (unpopular) Earth television show opinions or to get irritated with them. He has a tendency to threaten to stab people if they annoy him too much, which is of course undesirable in a crew member.

In any other crew member's case, Daphne would severely discipline and retrain the crew member, and likely discharge them if it keeps up. But with Kyle, it seems like Daphne has almost given up. She puts him through the disciplinary ropes, but nothing seems to improve.

Why would Daphne keep such an unpleasant and dangerous crew member around on the ship?

In order to avoid the Galactic Union officers (Ayshena, Selleck, Havok, and Hael), Skylar Clarke in partnership with crew members from Qraxoldov and Tyrannosaurus Pecs, has innovated a solution. Devices matching the signals of the ships have been carefully launched from Earth. After a quick stop on the KBW to pick up a new crew member, Prosperity voted to go to the planet Oggdel'Lu.

Oggdel'Lu is a planet that our crew has rarely gone to before, which is why it was considered a desirable location. While the Galactic Union officers (galx) chased after the artificial signals, the Prosperity would head to an unpredictable place to hopefully avoid being tailed. The recommendation for Oggdel'Lu was inspired by Kyle having had a job there before and saying the planet is "satisfactory". With Kyle not particularly quick to praise much, this does seem like a vote of approval.

Oggdel'Lu has a great deal of vegetation, but the part that our crew will be visiting has cool temperatures (around 50 degrees Fahrenheit) and an abundance of lowlying shrubs. The weather is often overcast on this planet. It is a cooler (temperature-wise) planet overall than most for Ly'daesun, and the tundra taking up much of the northern hemisphere is uninhabited.

Largely a planet inhabited by Ly'Daesun, the need for non-Ly'Daesun to eat was a big cause of concern. Kyle reassured Daphne that there was "so much" to eat if you go to the right places. After some prompting, Kyle explained that the city of Uarmoniv has a thriving tourism business. While a city generally not known for piracy, Kyle's former employer was in a black market quarter called The Hedge.

A more diverse (species-wise, at least) research operation which Kyle used to work at exists in The Hedge, archiving Earth media carefully. The best way to get an initial job to keep the crew safe on that more obscure (to Ayshena) planet would be to work at the research operation, with the more combat-oriented crewmembers there for protection. The Hedge is a shady place, after all. Ali as Earth Expert would take point on archive operations, steering the crew members supporting the archiving on doing a good job.

The plan was to sit tight. That's what Kyle said would be best, of course. Speaking of Kyle, it seemed like there was more to learn about the guy- especially because of the continued mystery of just how Kyle was approved to work on this ship. There would have to be more to learn soon- especially because Kyle became much more social on Oggdel'Lu, although he was still exceedingly unpleasant.

For now, here is how the crew's jobs are divided:

Robin and Daphne would look into better employment opportunities off-planet

Mates would work part time in the archives and part time on normal mate maintenance duties on the ship.

Clerks and communications would work nearly full time in the archives with some time doing ship-based duties.

Gunners and close combat would be stationed variously on the ship and guarding the archive workers. Hedge-guard Shifts would last the whole work day.

Pilots, navigator, musicians, quartermaster would work about half the time on the ship and half the time in The Hedge archives. The navigator would spend time working with Daphne and Robin in stretches.

The Earth expert would work a full shift at the archives.

Engineering (including electrotechnical and mechanics) would split time between supervision via device (like drones to monitor safety) and archive work. It's a busy schedule, but should get better once the routine settles.

And there was good food, an interesting place to work, and paying work.

Locations in Uarmoniv:

Archive Center - located in The Hedge, a place to work each day for many of the crew members. It is not particularly safe a location, which is why many of our crew members will act as guards rather than working a shift to archive pieces of Earth media.

Record Store - located in the Hedge. A place to buy what was archived in the Archive Center for personal use. Not just vinyl but CDs, books, board games, and all sorts of interesting Earth media.

Cookie's - Ironically, they do not sell cookies. A homey cafe-style restaurant with good food. Located in the legitimate business area of Uarmoniv close to the border of The Hedge.

'Feteria - A cafeteria style place located in The Hedge, popular because it is cheap to eat and has a variety of food. Probably the best place to eat. They also have a stock of ingredients to buy, which is great for those that cook on the ship.

Botanical Gardenia - A botanical garden themed haunted house and theme park. Located in the legitimate part of the city.

Laser Susan - A laser tag place with super high-tech laser guns. Perfect for all ages. Very fun. Located next to Cookie's.

PLOT DROP 43: UN-CONVENTIONAL

NOTE: The convention described is completely fictional and created for roleplay purposes only. Think Comic Con. The restaurants described are real.

The large German comic book convention, Municomicon (MCCon for short) will be held in a large hotel and convention center. Scuba's quest for cool trading cards has led the crew of *Prosperity* to this stellar event. While the convention is annual, the organizers have gone all out to make the tenth anniversary of the convention fabulous with more events than ever. The convention will last three weeks, and include many special guests, panels, activities, meetups, and more.

It's such a big event, that *Prosperity* isn't the only pirate crew with a presence. Two other crews, Qraxoldov and Tyrannosaurus Pecs are also here for completely different gigs. While relations with these other crews are mostly civil, having everyone sformed in one place could certainly get interesting.

Qraxolvov and Tyrannosaurus Pecs crew members can be found roaming around the convention halls and enjoying the city of Munich.

To minimize suspicion, Daphne has arranged for crew members to be paired up and search for trading cards at the convention center and nearby locations.

Activities at the convention center:

Vendor booths (where our crew will likely spend a good amount of time completing their mission)

Exhibition hall where notable brands for anime, comics, games, and other geeky things demonstrate different things and hand out freebies. Anything you can think of is probably here so don't be afraid to use your imagination.

Arcade with a selection of coin operated games related to geeky subjects like Deadpool pinball or Star Wars shooting games.

German singing fest: Fans of their favorite media works sing (in German) original songs for all to enjoy (unless the singers are really bad)

Learn to play card games: Volunteers teach you how to play many of the card games available.

Some great places to go in Munich include:

Marienplatz, the city’s main square which has beautiful buildings and architecture, plus shopping and street food. Music and culture lovers may enjoy the large carillon and watching the large Glockenspiel.

Rafting and tubing down the Isar River

In addition to the restaurants above, there are a variety of bars and pubs- including Scottish and Irish ones. It isn’t just stereotypical German cuisine in Munich!

Speaking of museums, Kunstareal is the art district and a museum quarter. There are over 100 museums in Munich, with many wonderful ones in Kunstareal.

Munich will be our main stop, but the Prosperity will be making a few other quick stops on the planet that we can either headcanon or write about depending on player preferences.

PLOT DROP 42: ON TECHNICALITIES

Daphne made an off-hand comment to Scuba on Dolnoh about business cards, which led to a lot of questions. Were business cards even trading cards? The Prosperity's crew wondered this, but Scuba didn't have doubts for longer than it took to understand the concept. Cards that were handed around with very specific and custom information that some people collected definitely counted as trading cards. And Scuba wanted lots of those.

Going to Earth to get business cards and a variety of other desired cards seemed like a good idea, but then the crew caught wind of a wealthy eccentric on Haelen'Kor trying to offload her wordly possessions before a galactic backpacking retirement.

Apparently in her youth, the eccentric (who wouldn't actually be present for the living estate sale) had been a pirate with a fondness for collecting paper. While there probably was less in the way of trading cards in the traditional sense, apparently there were a lot of old business cards stored in boxes and some ugly rolodexes.

Scuba wanted those business cards please and thanks, so Prosperity was going to have to try and see what was available there and around that star system.

The group was welcome to all to to the giant estate sale, which would be held at a conference hall. It was a lot of stuff to go through.

While the pirate crew was there, Dolnoh's residents had a list of things to also look for apart from anything card-sized and tradable:
