Aoratos - Gods Without Name (Debemur Morti Productions, 2019)
This week I went down a Beatles rabbit trail, so my “Albums of the Week” looks pretty different. This was prompted by watching the “Get Back” documentary, which was fascinating. I’d recommend this to anyone who is interested in the craft of making and recording music, even if you’re not a Beatles fan. 🪲 I don’t think I’d ever listened to an entire Beatles album before this week. When I was young teen, my dad told me I wasn’t allowed to listen to that band. I asked why, and he explained that “Hey Jude” was about shooting up with heroin. That sounded awesome, so naturally I sought it out. I was disappointed to discover it was just a very lengthy sing-a-long love song (13 year old me had no place for that), so I wrote off the band for two+ decades. But there is a lot here to like, it turns out. 🪲 1. The Beatles - The White Album 2. Stormkeep - Tales of Othertime (2021) 3. The Beatles - Let It Be 4. Aoratos - Gods Without Name 5. Tribulation - Where The Gloom Becomes Sound (2021) 6. The Beatles - Revolver 7. The Beatles - Abbey Road 8. The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band 9. Khemmis - Deceiver (2021) 🪲
