You were sitting on the stable rail in the Survey Corps HQ in the outskirts of Wall Rose. You were dressed up in your expedition uniform, your ODM gears already attached to your hips. But your brows were meeting in the middle, your shoulders drooped. You were chewing your inner cheek while you were in deep thought.
You can’t help but be nervous. In a few hours, you will be out of the walls once again, hoping to set a supply line and evade the titans while doing it. But the doctors told you not to do it. During your last visit, they heavily told you to take a year off the Survey Corps. It was not good for you, and it might harm you.
Unfortunately, you are the kind of person who wouldn’t abandon their duty. Thus you were here today. But the looming dangers and complications that you could face were inevitable.
Your rumination was interrupted by a cheerful voice calling out your name. You looked up and you saw Hange, your good friend in the Corps, walking in your direction. You straightened up your back and gave them a small smile.
“I’ve never seen you this nervous before,” they said while still feet away from you. “What’s in your head?” Hange joined you on top of the rail.
