How did I not notice?
Okay, so in “Flying Solo,” Julie sings that Flynn “know[s] who I'm likin' way before I liked them, duh / 'Cause you liked them first.” This implies that Julie’s crushes have always been Flynn’s crushes first. And who’s Julie’s crush in the first episode? Nick. So through “Flying Solo,” Julie implies that Flynn at one point in time had a crush on Nick. I have not seen anyone bring this point up yet. Now this not just adds another layer to their friendship and Flynn’s instance that Julie accepts Nick’s offer for a date, but also brings up a potential aspect for the ending of the Julie-Carrie(-Flynn) friendship.
