Douglas Miles is from the San Carlos Apache Nation in Arizona. He uses street art forms to create work that simultaneously deconstructs ethnic stereotypes and emboldens native people in the 21st Century. He is an artist, designer, photographer, filmmaker, muralist and public speaker. And he founded Apache Skateboards . . He is exhibiting stencils,paintings and creating art out of found objects in San Francisco all month long at the De Young Museum in the Kimball Gallery in Golden Gate Park. He is there from Wednesday - Sunday 1 to 5 pm. Reception on Feb 25 from 3-5 pm. This exhibit is FREE.
