Need Help With Bills (Plus Birthday Wishes)
Last week my mother reached out to some of the breast cancer charities in the area for more information on how they could help (I’m really proud of her for that), but we haven’t heard back from anyone and bill payment time is fast approaching, so it’s going to be on me again to come up with the payments for January. The one I am most worried for is the rent, because I talked to management about moving into a two bedroom apartment and while we can’t do so until June, we can’t have any late payments on our record other than the one or two I think we already have. So it’s important I get it in on time if I have any chance of making this happen for my sanity and my mother’s.
This is what we need:
Rent: $440 (due by the 5th, but I really need it by the 3rd to get the money order into my mom’s bank account in time)
Storage Unit: $268 by the 12th/301.10 after the 13th
Car Insurance: $80 (we weren’t able to pay last month, and this is double what we were told our new monthly payment is)
Electricity: $34.64 (due by the 15th)
My PayPal is https://www.paypal.me/penaltywaltz
Also, my birthday is January 23rd and is not going to be celebrated as much as I like because (we hope) that will be around the time my mother is having her double mastectomy, so anything to make it better would be lovely. While I do have an Amazon wishlist of my own, there are two things I would love that cost money as well:
1 - Between my mother and myself, we have three cats, and I’m not sure if any of them have ever been to a vet before. As my mother loves all of them very much and would be devastated if we lost any of them (as would I, but in her case it could mean she might lose the will to keep fighting), I’d like to raise the money to get them all taken to the vet, get them checked out, get them their shots, and get my two newest additions (Sally & Molly) spayed. I’m not sure how much it would cost just yet because I think Sally might have a serious medical problem since she’s constantly throwing up her food, but it’s something I’d like to do.
2 - As I mentioned above, I’ve talked to management about moving to a larger apartment. Right now, my mother and I share a one bedroom apartment (sleeping in the same room so my son can have the living room when he visits) and it’s causing a lot of tension between us as we are utter opposites (I’m a morning person/she’s a night person, I like silence/she likes noise, etc) and it’s making our situation that much harder. We’ve gotten into some pretty big fights to the point where I’ve seriously considered moving out for my own mental health.
But a two bedroom apartment would solve a lot of those problems. The rent on one is $1,595 at my complex, and I wouldn’t be able to move in till June, but the assistant manager said since my and my mom’s credit isn’t that great thanks to the clusterfuck roommate situation we got dragged into before moving here if we can have the $1,595 raised by end of May for the security deposit and there’s an apartment open we should be a shoo-in since we’ve been good tenants. This is something we desperately need and I would love help getting it (especially if it’s got a “master bedroom” situation so my mother can have a bathroom in her bedroom, which will help her out so very much).
Those are two things I would like to raise money for separate from the bills, so if you’d be interested in helping with either of those, let me know. I may start something on GoFundMe or something for those once I have more information about vet costs.
