sorry for picking this up again, but you are in NO FUCKING WAY SEX POSITIVE if you actively try to stop making healthcare for trans people covered by [state] insurance, which is what you do when you say that trans people dont need dysphoria to be trans. this has nothing to do with non-binary or anything else. its not about people "faking". YOU ARE MAKING THINGS WORSE FOR PEOPLE WHO NEED MORE PROFESSIONAL CARE THAN OTHERS. FUCKING STOP.
“"I can tell you that policing whether or not someone is trans simply with a checklist to see whether they experience several symptoms and whether they want to get sex reassignment surgery done is bad." THIS IS A REQUIREMENT FOR INSURANCE TO COVER SURGERY.“
Alright, I think there’s been some miscommunication here. Let me start by saying I’ve had a very long and emotional day, so my apologies if I do still phrase things incorrectly.
I would like to state that by saying policing people’s gender based on a checklist is wrong, I mean that whoever wants to have any form of srs should be able to have it, fully covered by [state] insurance. The fact that people should fit a checklist in order to have their care reimbursed or paid for is something I find morally reprehensible.
Furthermore I think that peoples’ gender is their own business. Whether or not they experience dysphoria, depression or whichever symptom should not interfere with how we view their gender.
I would also like to inquire as to how you think my views stated here or in my previous answers make things worse. I am open to new/other viewpoints, new information etc. which might change the way I look at this. I’ve chosen to redact your insults and threats, because I’m genuinely interested in what you have to say and do not want to start any shit.
Now I’m sure your statements are motivated by one thing or the other and I’m curious as to what they might be and I’m open to discus them with you. I am by no means some oracle who just happens to know everything and alsways has the right answer, but let’s talk this over like adults.
