An APD SWAT officer points his bean bag shotgun at a protester on 3/30 during protests against #APD. This was the only time I saw a weapon aimed at protesters during the 12hr event. #Burque #APDshootings #APDProtest #OPAlbuquerque #Protests #Albuquerque #NewMexico #photojournalism
Yeah Albuquerque is fucked.
I'm so pissed off about this protest and dumb ass people yielding from the real problem and justifying APDs actions & corrupt system.
"not all cops are bad" is pointless to bring up because people KNOW this already and it doesn't contribute to anything useful. It's like saying "I like peaches." "BUT THERE ARE ALSO APPLES" well no shit.
"they shouldn't have done that!!" is pointless as well because it's only focusing on things individuals did instead of what the protest was actually for, ya know police brutality.
I had a girl comment on my facebook saying 'ya'll are stupid" as if i represented everyone at the protest (or at least had communication with them) and she even said "YOUR PROTEST" and others who were getting their info from popular news media outlets.. (you guys do know that they are basically paid to get good ratings, right? Not to tell you the truth, wake the hell up)
and there was numerous people brushing the protest off as "not making any difference" when protesting DOES make a difference. If women and poc thought that way we'd still be segregated and i wouldn't have any rights.
No. It wasn't MY protest, it was a protest for everyone who had gone through/is going through police brutality and injustice by the shitty system.
Murder is murder.
Protesting or rioting, we will be heard. No matter what light the media shines on protesters who want change. #FUCKAPD
