New and improved Portal au. More of a proper au mashup of elements than a setting crossover as it was the first time.
Aperture Falls
Thirty years ago, estranged twins Stanley and Stanford Pines were captured by an evil ai Stanford built and forced to fight their way through a series of experimental testing chambers in order to escape. It was only through setting aside their differences and working together that the two were able to make it to the surface.
Now they live in the house on top of the lab, guarding the sealed entrance to the lab to prevent anyone else from falling into the ai’s clutches and meeting the same fate, or worse.
They should have stayed hermited out there in the woods with only each other and the lumberjack who brought them their wood and groceries once a week, but Stan needed to be around people and so they opened up the house as a tourist attraction, a combination of paranormal museum and mad scientist’s lab that drew in crowds upon crowds every week.
Thirty years passed, and the two built a kind of family in their little Shack in the woods, and now that family is getting bigger with the arrival of their great-niece and -nephew to visit for the summer.
They should have stayed hermited out there in the woods, because it was only a matter of time before the kids stumbled upon the lab entrance and were captured as well. Now Stan and Ford must venture back into their greatest nightmare to save their family from paying the price of their own complacency.
Because in the thirty years of isolation, BiLL has had plenty of time to build and rebuild the test chambers, and now they’re much more deadly than they ever were before.
