Goalie Tracking
Get a pile of different color balls
Have your goalie close their eyes in their ready position
Say “shot” and send the ball at the cage. Have them work on calling out the color of the ball (orange, white, yellow etc.) as soon as they see it
Shoot only high at first for them to get used to the drill
If they struggle then take a little speed off of your shot
Great drill for tracking the ball. You can change your angle or distance to make it easier or harder. Have fun!

Do You Have A “Lazy” Hand?
A lazy bottom hand is a stick with your bottom hand low and off your hip
A lazy bottom hand makes the stick very checkable with the head out to the side
The hand on the bottom of your stick needs to be in triple threat position off your shoulder
Don’t have it off your opposite hip
Additionally when your catching, work on switching your hands right as you catch the ball, that way you can bring your stick across and right up into the triple-threat position

Start on your post in a good ready position with hands out
Step-set urgently on your house
Three steps up to center and three steps back down to post
Practice from post up to center and center down to post
Practice with eyes open and eyes shut for extra difficulty
Steps should be shoulder width apart
Reverse your motion at any point to continue to challenge yourself

Work on digging timing it with the whistle
Work on digging against a player with different pressure
Notch in and pop it up, work on placing the ball where you want
Toss the ball up and snatch the ball out of the air, then pull it in quickly. This works your reach and extension
