“Cheers t’ that, matey!” “Abraham, shut up. I’m trying to make dinner in this hell you call a kitchen.”

And here we have Abraham(Republic of Pirates) and Ezrena(The Bahamas) on Abraham’s ship! With outdated cooking equipment and bedding! You bet that tree falls over at least once a day.

This zoom call is a great opportunity for family bonding and siblings bothering each other. Specifically Abraham being the most annoying older brother to Ezrena, who’s just trying to make some food. Their mother must be laughing from beyond the grave at her camera-shy daughter and rambunctious son.

APH MIRROR WEEK 7: CROSSOVER (1p & 2p England/Bahamas)

Deesee absolutely adores Oliver; he’s a hard worker, a great cook and is well-mannered. Though she has the times where she’ll get him to let loose. 

I’d like to imagine them dancing to Carribbean classics like Baha men’s ‘Who Let The Dogs Out?’ and Destra Garcia’s ‘Lucy’ in a club. Like- Oliver would probably be swinging around his shirt like it’s a rave. Otherwise he’d have his ass dragged around the dancefloor, Deesee wouldn’t let him stay a wallflower.

When it comes to both Arthur and Lydia, she’d probably have to get them drunk to dance to such songs.

Deesee also enjoys learning different foods from around the world from Oliver. Deesee doesn’t like to travel compared to Lydia, so she learns about different food cultures from Oliver. And she’d definitely love for him to gift her with European chocolate, thats sum gud shite.

Lydia thinks Oliver is innocent baby that needs her protect despite being eons older, ‘nough said!

When it comes to Deesee’s relationship with Arthur it’s kinda like...:

“Ew- Get away from me you cReAtuRE!!!111!!”

He gives Lydia money, promises of protection and shit so she tolerates the bushy-eyebrowed rat.

And as a Quartet these four can just kinda vibe and watch as America goes up in flames. The Bahamas doesn’t hate America in any sense of the word- they only care about his contribution to their economy. So, they just watch the news to make sure he’s still kickin’.

APH MIRROR WEEK 6: Surprises (1p & 2p Bahamas)

The only surprise that has ever occurred was the event of April 27, 1965; a.k.a Black Tuesday.

April 27, 1965

Deesee was not expecting to see the Speaker’s Mace flying out of the House of Assembly’s window. She pulled one of her beggar friends out of the way as it smashed onto the concrete. 

And there was Lydia, sticking her head out of the window, with a goofy smile on her face. Through the broken window, she heard Mr. Pindling, speaking about how the people deserved a voice. 

Despite the low status of these same people sitting out on the streets, they cared about their opinion. Their say on the country, of what was going to happen to herself and Lydia. This man gave a shit, seemingly more than anyone else did.

This... was nice. Lydia was concerned about her. Even after all of their disputes before today, she still cared. 

This was certainly a surprise.

APH MIRROR WEEK 5: Conflict (1p & 2p Bahamas)

The two use to bicker over the most trivial of things. Especially when it came to working under Britain.

XXXXX XX, 18XX

“I already scrubbed the hallway to Eyebrows’ chambers, you wench.” Deesee spat.

“You were asleep! You were having a lovely little snooze in the scullery!” Lydia stamped on the ground, startling passing maids.

“Says the one snacking on all of the grits! What am I supposed to feed Arthur if all of our grain is being eaten, you cow!” Deesee retorted, before throwing a bucket of dirty mop water onto Lydia.

She and others around gasped. Lydia growled before pouncing towards the other girl. Deesee simply held up the bucket and impacted Lydia’s head. As Lydia’s body twitched in pain, she bludgeoned her head twice before a loud ‘CRACK’ was heard. Ding-dong the bitch was dead.

APH MIRROR WEEK 4: Chores(1p & 2p Bahamas)

Chores are really just a chore for Lydia. She hates having to do any sort of manual labor. Heck- even if she uses electronic devices, she’ll find a reason to complain. It’s either she hires a housekeeper or she’s passed out after mopping one room.

Deesee on the other hand actually does cleaning and maintenance on her house every day. Switching out lightbulbs, folds clothes, hand washes everything in need of washing and mopping. She believes that using electronic appliances are just another way for Americans to be lazy. She can be laid back yes, but labor is prayer to her. If she’s working, she’ll put her all into working! After all, she and Lydia used to be cleaning Britain’s castle top to bottom for eons!

Every time people visit her, her house is clean. Plates are ready for eating, your barefoot won’t pick up dirt, and if you’re sleeping over on a cold evening you get warm towels and bedsheets.

APH MIRROR WEEK 3: HOPE/PEACE (1p & 2p Bahamas)

One of the only things that these two have in common, is a wish for world peace. The both of them do not want their people to be sent to war ever again. Nor do they want to be caught in the crossfire. As they used to work for Britain, of course their people have been dragged into international disagreements and disputes. Even Deesee’s morals are high enough to understand war is a shithole for both sides.   

Every Remembrance day they attend a school’s assembly dedicated to the fallen soldiers. And every time they go, students always look bored, fall asleep or complain about being pricked with the faux poppies. They wish they were as ignorant as these children. They have enough faux poppy pins to prick them through their shirts. They have enough to last them centuries.
