There used to be an unofficial nation in the 18th Century, called the Republic of Pirates. It lasted until 1718, when the English reestablish rule in the Bahamas. So, assuming this was a separate character from Pirate!England and the Bahamas, what would a male personification of the Republic of Pirates look like?
My definition of what makes a nation-tan a nation-tan is mostly based socio-culturally and a shared, cohesive identity and customs- for that reason, I headcanon that Bahamas served as the representation of the new “Republic of Pirates!”
While pirates definitely did have their own unique culture, especially when it came to how they shared power, most pirates were English privateers who became disgruntled now that it was no longer politically expedient for egglab to utilize their services. There’s also the fact that one of the most important factors in the creation of a nation-tan (at least in my headcanon) is staying power, that a country will last as a distinct socio-cultural entity, at least for a while, which the Republic of Pirates didnt really have ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I imagine it went down like this: Bahamas popped up when the first settlers arrived on Bahamas, and then was left alone in the wilderness when said settlers all died or went back home. Then the pirates scooped them back up again when they rediscovered the island and used them as the nation tan for the Republic Pirates for like eleven years until England decided to bring everybody back under the law- Which is probably a very weird experience for a nation to be left alone for that long without humans, tbh 🤔
