Minoan Aphrodite <3
I drew this a month or so ago, and had to kind of work up the nerve to post it. I really like how it came out, but I am still a newbie artist and I get nervous posting my work!
I did some research into Minoan upperclass women's fashion, and what goddesses may have worn/been depicted wearing, as well as taking inspiration from direct sources! The necklaces she is wearing are direct recreations of ancient Minoan necklaces <3 By no means do I claim she is historically accurate, however, just historically close?
Anyway, here is my Minoan Aphrodite artwork <3

My version of Hades 2 Aphrodite, tapping in to the sea aspect of her myth. A rare finished WIP!
Aphrodite- goddess of love and beauty by Marty Noble. “Prismacolor”+”Faber Castell”+white pen.
Aphrodite Apaturus (Deceitful) and Aphrodite Areia (Warlike)
A surname of Aphrodite at Phanagoria and other places in the Taurian Chersonesus, where it originated, according to tradition, in this way: Aphrodite was attacked by giants, and called Heracles to her assistance. He concealed himself with her in a cavern, and as the giants approached her one by one, she surrendered them to Heracles to kill them
She wasn’t just the goddess of love; she was the force that made gods betray, men destroy, and empires fall
“ BORN OF SEAFOAM . . ”
This is sorta an old drawing but I still wanted to share it because I love how pretty she looks here
This is my general Aphrodite design both in fictional worlds like pjo but also used both for Greek myths and stuff
This specifically was a devotional art
I'm still debating what looks to give her for future purposes
An oldie but a goodie I hope to get back into doing these again
