i'm sorry but no?? what kind of twisted mentality do you have where an abuse victim should forgive and love their abuser in order to make them stop harassing them? tell me you don't actually care about abuse victims without telling me.

no because he literally was trying his best to ignore her and coexist with his hosts but all she kept doing was going after him, so he finally had enough and started fighting back. y'know, the same way blake was justified to fight adam for stalking and harassing her and trying to kill her.

This latest episode really highlighted what kind of “heroes” our girls are. Running away, leaving the town to fight the Jabberwalker on their own. Didn’t they just state before they’re Huntresses? Didn’t Yang say to Ironwood in Volume 7 that Huntresses don’t run from a fight? But that seems to be a theme isn’t it? Whenever they go to a new place, they always either cause trouble or leave it worse off. Mistral, Argus, Atlas, and now here.

its infuriating and wild to me because the exact same things they lectured all the adults for, they're doing the exact same thing.

how dare you lie to us? you need to trust us!! anyway, now we're going to lie to and betray our only ally because how can we trust him?

like?? some heroes. and I'm so tired of seeing the "well they're just kids!" they can't be 'just kids' when they're hijacking a communication tower and spilling confidential information to random civilians and stealing a relic and making enemies with their only ally left. they're not kids when they're making these big decisions.

it wouldn't be as bad if the narrative actually addressed this, and not with small little "let's stop pretending we know what we're doing" / "I'm tired of watching cities burn" or whatever weiss said. that's not owning up to the fact that y'all were the ones that destroyed two kingdoms and left another one in shambles and are about to possibly destroy another one.

Do you think V9 would have been better received if Ruby was the only one to fall into the Ever After?

i think so. while it makes some sense for team rwby as a whole to fall, it just being ruby fits more thematically.

she was struggling with her position as leader and her role as a huntress (even if leadership was a position she lowkey pushed herself into), so naturally, it would result in her having an identity crisis and imposter syndrome.

because of that, she lost sight of herself, her goals (to be a hero like in a fairytale), and fell into self-doubt, especially after losing relics and an entire kingdom.

so, yes, I do think it would've been better if she went into the ever after solo. j+wby had already found themselves in their own arcs, they didn't need to rediscover themselves, but ruby is someone who's been fighting to fit in ever since volume one.

it would've been better if she grappled with her own actions by herself and the weight of penny, and not deal with it through a biased team. when she expressed her doubts, she was immediately shot down and coddled that nooo, she's nothing like ironwood. so I feel that if she was alone, she could've had these discussions with Little, explained everything that happened to a third party, and see where that would take her.

anyway, no rwde is not a hive mind. not all of us agree on everything, but the stuff we do agree on is the main issues with the show: ableism, racism, antisemitism, homophobia, sexism. yeah, that's right, the common criticisms is bigotry. why WOULDN'T we stand together for that? that doesn't mean we're a hive mind.

hive minds don't allow different thinking. notice how us "haters" don't send each other harassment or death threats when we disagree on a topic? notice how the people that DO send death threats and hate are the self-proclaimed fans??

a lot of us didn’t face literal racism, homophobia/transphobia, ableism, harassment, death threats and more for trying to bring attention to the abuse rt was capable of, just for some of y’all to come out and talk about how ‘the fandom never should’ve ignored them :(’ just bc a well-known face came out and spoke. 

why didn’t y’all listen when mica spoke out, or when all those glassdoor reviews kept coming out with the same exact thing kdin was experiencing, why didn’t y’all drop this company when ryan came out as a predator and sex offender, why didn’t y’all listen every single time something horrible happened? why did it have to take kdin coming out to talk about her experiences for everyone’s stories to finally be believed. 

hell, i predicted what would happen anyway. i knew there would be a bunch of you who would STILL side with rt / “crwby” over kdin bc ‘well i love this show so :/ i’m gonna still support it and the creators’ despite the fact that crwby held most of the people that abused their coworkers.

either way, some of y’all are literally so fake and purposely plugged your ears when many spoke out about rt’s workplace abuse. don’t act all ‘oh no we didn’t know :( we shouldn’t have ignored them’, yeah you shouldn’t have. and this little remorse ain’t gonna be enough to cover up all the harassment and hate you spewed to the workers and fans that tried to bring awareness to this.
