i looked it up and apparently the lake is pink bc of a certain species of algae that lives there, dunaliella salina!!! the algae produce large amounts of a reddish pigment in order to survive the highly saline environment they live in!!! (it's rlly cool)

hi, i saw your fanmix for pimmsweek just now, and can i just say i love that you used house of memories? because that's absolutely 100% without a doubt my #1 jackparse song oh my god (tysm for the fanmix!!)

thanks so much!!! i spent a really long time narrowing down the songs i wanted to use and analyzing lyrics, so i’m glad you agree with my choices. house of memories is SUCH a jackparse song, that’s why i decided to end with it.

(also editing the graphic took so long ad;sfkja;dkj if you look at the original drawing posted by ngozi kent’s left arm is cut off and i had to like surgically attach one in photoshop haha)
