So I thought about it a lot, and I’ve decided that I don’t really want anybody to be President after Obama leaves. What I want is an Automatic Presiding Machine (APM) that signs bills I approve of and vetos bills that I don’t, while using state-of-the-art search algorithms to locate progressive nominees for federal judgeships, cabinet positions, etc. With a suitably advanced AI, the APM could identify policy priorities in response to different kinds of inputs, while the White House staff produces the actual policy positions.
Since I can’t have that, my number one priority is keeping the Republican Party out of office. I know I can’t keep them out forever, but I will try nonetheless. If I can do that by voting for Bernie Sanders, I damn well will. If I have to do it by voting for Hillary Clinton I’ll do that too, but since I live in Oregon I can probably get away with voting for the Green party.
And I swear to god, if those GOP jokers nominate Donald Trump I will burn a goddamn flag. I’ll do it. It’s not funny. Trump is the most disgusting candidate I have ever seen. Not just his opinions are disgusting: he is a physically repulsive, morally obscene, convulsing pustule of everything that has ever been wrong with America. Not only should he not be President, he should be in prison. This is not an endorsement of any other GOP candidate, all of whom I also consider to be unacceptable. Trump is worse than unacceptable: he is twisted and perverse.
