Letter to Change So uh... Yeah this is awkward You're not someone I'd ever expect to write this too Simply for the very fact that I've been avoiding you That I didn't love you for quite some time Simply for the fact That when it came to someone mentioning you I used to respond with how much I hated you I'm writing this to you because That feeling has gotten me nowhere Except the circle I continue to run in and look at my own footsteps as if it's someone else's I'm learning that I need to start being honest with you Because I can never break the detrimental cycle and move forward to something new if I don't accept you And you make all things new So here it is And please take what I say as no offense but (Sigh) I don't like how uncomfortable you make me feel I don't like the fact that you try to seasonally shape shift my life more than Shang Tsung Then when I try to Sub-Zero you and leave you cold You Scorpion sting me and say "Get over here" And I do I always run back to you I have to I can't say I'm truly a superhero If I don't allow myself to know what it means to be saved I can't say that I don't want to constantly stay on the carousel of life If I'm not forced off the horses & I can't introduce you to someone else and vouch for that relationship If I'm not a friend to you myself We're gonna have arguments We're going to fight There will be sleepless nights that occur when you are ringing in my ear But I have no choice but to accept you And who you are What you do to me is crazy I wish you had some other way to make me better But I'm at the point where I'm just thankful for your thoughts Your belief in me I'm appreciative of the fact that you want what is best for me in the first place I thank you for wanting me to grow You know don't like to be pushed Sometimes I just want to sit down in a lazy boy and kick my feet up without a care in the world But that's not the life you have for me That's not why I was created So with all the uncomfort within me I say to you Thank you I love you And as much as I will have thoughts to fight you I know you're not going anywhere I know I will always be with you 📸: @tc.pix #LifeOfAPoet #APoetNamedSuperman #SuperTape
