For your prompt for rhinky Drabble, maybe a cute (turned smutty only if it works) moment where Rhett sends Link a cute message about the moon and how they’re looking at the same one. It’s been making me happy lately keeping that in mind as my loved ones and I navigate this.

Link’s laying on the couch, Jade wrapped into a ball in his lap. The show that he’s watching is barely able to keep his attention.

His phone chimes.

Go outside.

Link arches a brow.

I’m pretty sure the whole point is to stay inside right now.

No. Go to your backyard.

Link shakes his head and indulges his best friend. Jade pitter-patters after him.

Okay. I’m out.

Look up.

Link does.

The moon is big and bright. Almost otherworldly blue. A smile creeps on Link’s face.

It’s pretty.

Yeah. Made me think of you.

Miss you.

Miss you more.

I’m happy to be home after spending the last six weeks away for work. I hope my happy reunion can inspire another. ;) (and a sprinkle of smut would be awesome!)

Warm, soft skin. Rhett’s hands roamed over it, re-discovering the plains and valleys of Link’s body—as if he could ever forget them. 

He nibbled at the tender flesh of Link’s inner thigh. A needy twitch above Rhett made him chuckle. 

“Please,” Link begged.

“Hello, stranger,” Rhett mumbled, smirking, as his fingers slowly wrapped around Link’s throbbing cock. 

Light touch. Teasing. Licks and kisses. Soft. Softer. Barely a whisper of a stroke.  

An arching back and a strangled cry. “Fuck, Rhett, I need you on me!”

“Shh, baby. You’ve waited weeks. You can wait a moment more.”

“Please.”

“Soon.”

Yesterday morning my neighbour started playing loud music at around 10am which I found mildly annoying until he started singing along at the top of his voice. He sounded so happy, it made me happy too

Link had known this part of the forest was out of bounds. Dangerous. People disappeared. Or came back different.

He’d known, but he was too curious. 

It called him. At night, the grove whispered in his dreams and begged him to come.

Link wasn’t sure how long he’d been there. Hours? Days?

The vines wrapped around his limbs were tight, but he’d already grown used to the feeling. It was almost like an embrace. Comforting.

A leaf caressed his face. Link leaned into the touch. He craved it. 

Soft human. The incorporeal voice was sweet and ethereal.

“It’s cold,” Link whined, wrapping his arms around his theatrically trembling body. Rhett let out a huff of a laugh. The floorboards creaked under his boots as wind howled outside the small cabin.

Strong arms pulled Link into a tight embrace. Link melted against Rhett, reveling in his warmth. His head dropped against Rhett’s shoulder and he let out a small whimper of pleasure. 

“It wouldn’t be this cold if you’d let me light the fireplace.”

“I had more important things to do.”

“S’that so?”

Link craned his neck for more kisses that warmed him better than any fire could.
