I miss John and Pip AUSGHSB. For those that don't know, they were biologically father and son in Apple (He had Lams parents..) Anyways

He always had like. Problems. With Alex (VERY complicated relationship that I can maybe speak about later) so naturally, he was closer to John, especially since John actually yk gaf about him later on in the server

But they were like best friends (Sad ik) and he was one of the people that Pip actually opened up about his childhood and yk LIFE to (NOT his 'sister' (AKA best friend who actually treated him like a human being) or his husband of like 18+ years) and ausgwhwje

But again, they were complicated too because a big problem with Pip is that NO one treated him either as a person or as his OWN person (He was constantly dehumanized or seen as an extension of someone (E.g. He got hit on and they only stopped because of who his spouse was, not because he was married, etc.) and John unfortunately was one of those people, especially later. He was better than most people, I'll give him that, but he still kinda saw/treated Pip like HIS SON and not. Philip. If that makes sense. Like he was an extension of himself

Also, Pip (Who did love him) was uncomfortable with him/got angry at him easily primarily because he was with Alex (Who was not a good partner nor parent) and also because he was a bit. Unstable. I suppose. One moment, he could love Pip and support him in everything, the next, he'd get super angry at him and give up on him immediately so (I do believe he had a personality disorder but I forget (/NOT DEMONIZING PDS.))

Anyways I love ememmsm And I miss them augh :(

So in this old Hamilton RP server with heavy lore, my character was Philip (obvi) and he had a son named Oliver!! Jesus FUCKING Christ, these two make me so sad, I need to rant about them

So the way I describe the AU/server is "Everything sucks but especially for Philip". I won't get into it but just know that everything sucked for him. He had a son when he was fairly young (Still yk recovering from the shit that had already happened in his life already) and that just kinda fucked him up more.

I mean, for one, he was a bad parent to Oliver. Yeah I mean the abused becomes the abuser, his circumstances were terrible, etc. etc. but that doesn't excuse his actions.

Two, he later tried to reconnect with Oliver because he felt bad and was in a.. semi better headspace? But Sam kept jumping in and helping Oliver instead, and since his son liked him ig, he just kinda backed off, which made their relationship WORSE.

Three, before Oliver was sent to The Void, Philip genuinely was trying to help him. By now, he was an adult, so Pip had to try like.. extra. Anyways, he was just always out and refused to eat and bla bla bla and Pip would try to help as much as he could while still giving him space but by then, it was like insanely too late.

Four, after Oliver got out of the void (Years later btw), Philip was the one to help him, and he even lied to his husband (Idk if they were married at the time or just dating) about it (Which was INSANELY dangerous for him). Like, he really tried his best to connect with him after that but yk..

Hurt no comfort family trope 💔💔 Philip really did love him and he really did try after all that, but things just sucked and uaggshsh.. LIKE, HE SPOKE ABOUT OLIVER ALL THE TIME AND (BC OLIVER LIKED BASEBALL) HE'D PLAY WITH BASEBALLS ON HIS OWN AND OH MY GODDDDDD IM SOBBING. And then people ridiculed him for it like yeah, criticize him for being a shitty parent but he's trying now so pleaase at least recognize it.
