This was a quick test I did 2 hours after getting this awsome camera. It is recorded using the camera’s prores settings. It takes approximatley 1gb/ minute when recording in Prores with the camera. Even though it isn’t the 2.5k raw file, the flexibility you have with color grading is incredible. I have been using an older Canon XH-A1 before upgrading to the Cinema Camera and the couple hours I have had so far with it have been amazing.
With this clip I wanted to see how much zoom I could use in post before the image became unuseable. With the XH-A1 files it was around scale 150 or 150%. In this clip I raised the scale in post starting at 0 or scale of 100 and went all the way up to scale of 300 and it still could be usable. Incredible. I used room lighting (65 watt flood in recessed ceiling lighting) ASA 800 on camera, 180 degree shutter angle and 24p setting on the camera. In post I added Neat Video for noise reduction ( not that it really needed much), Sharpen 50 ( In Premiere PRo) and curves for contrast. That was it. It all rendered out of Premiere in about 8 minutes. I used Russian Zenit 48mm lens. Really nice lens gives very sharp images. Likes: 1 Viewed: source
