Not really cottage related but I’ve realized a weird thing about my favorite colors. I used to be severely depressed and miserable, and I absolutely hated bright colors. I also thought they were gross and “too girly” and flashy; i wanted to be anything BUT noticeable. But as I “got better” over the years and my heart felt free, I started to appreciate the bright colors in life. I used to love blue and grey, now I live for the pinks and oranges and yellows. A visible aspect of how I’ve changed, I guess. They’re peaceful colors, full of life and love and warmth. That’s how i want to live my life.
