Indulge in the perfect blend of savory and sweet with this Brie, Fig, and Apple Grilled Cheese sandwich. Creamy Brie cheese, luscious fig jam, and crisp apple slices are grilled between slices of sourdough bread to create a mouthwatering delight.
Ingredients: 4 slices of sourdough bread. 4 oz Brie cheese, sliced. 1/2 cup fig jam. 1 apple, thinly sliced. 2 tbsp butter. 1 tsp honey optional. Fresh thyme leaves for garnish. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: On two pieces of sourdough bread, spread fig jam. On top of the fig jam, put slices of Brie cheese and apple. Add the last two slices of sourdough bread on top to make a sandwich. Put butter on the outside of each sandwich. Set a pan or griddle over medium heat. It will take about 34 minutes per side to cook the sandwiches until they are golden brown and the cheese melts. You can add more sweetness to each sandwich by drizzling some honey on top of them. Sprinkle with fresh thyme leaves, and salt and pepper to taste after taking it out of the pan. Enjoy while hot!
