Hello all! To cut to the chase, we have made the executive decision to become application-based.
What exactly does this mean for present and future moments? Is what I'm sure you're wondering, or wondering if you still have a place here. The short answer is - yes, if you have a reserve, you do have a place with us! However, it will be required to fill out our application upfront prior to opening. Even if you have already had a reserve approved and written in the allegiances document, you must submit an application prior to opening. This is non-negotiable!
What this means though, is that everyone now has access to our application. For transparency sake, it was beefed up a little more to be in line with the fact we will be application-based. Applications will remain open until we open!

Upon entering the server, you will be required to verify your application through Appy, so be sure to read the application thoroughly and remember what you entered and what was in it. If you need to, I'd recommend screenshotting information before you send it in. We will not be requiring email addresses for safety sake, so we cannot allow the option to email you back a copy of your application.
Once we open though, depending on how many people we get, we will be closing our applications and close the server to new members. We will have small opening phases throughout the year, so if you miss your chance to get in this round, you will be able to try again soon after!
The big why for this change is quite honestly due to our small staff size. We are now a team of three, and we cannot possibly moderate what we anticipate will come. We decided it was best to limit the amount of new members and keep it a small knit community for the comfort for both staff and current members alike.
We also have a comprehensive document regarding our guidelines. These detail not just our rules on social aspects of the server, role play specifics, but also character guidelines. You are required to read it over in order to reserve a character, as our guidelines have specifics for characters.

We as a team are still finishing up some things that are required to have done before opening, but our opening plan has changed due to us going application-based. We have elected to not do a soft opening, and instead will focus solely on a hard launch for our role play.
Our tentative date for opening will fall between July 26th to August 11th. We will reveal a date once we are closer to being finished with our (seemingly growing by each day) to-do list.
On the day we open, we will post a temporary invite link to the server here, as well advertise it on Disboard and other appropriate Discord servers. Once we hit a set number of approved members, the Discord will be closed and the invite link will be suspended. We will then discuss a new opening date. In between opening dates, we will be working on finding more staff to compensate for how many applications we prepare to accept per opening period.
