kann has joined the winter ball!!
random apprentice headcanons no one asked for
kann
he does NOT care for morga. her aggressive ‘tough love’ personality just really doesn’t mesh with him, especially in muriel’s route. he’s not extremely afraid of her, he just dislikes her as a person.
he has very eclectic taste, which shows a lot in the assorted random items of his lying around the shop, ranging from shiny rocks to feathers to actual trash. he doesn’t see the point of maintaining a specific aesthetic so he just kinda vibes!
ayla
though she doesn’t sing often, she has quite a good voice. she sings to herself a lot when she’s alone and if she trusts you, around you. she gets embarrassed if it’s pointed out, and blushy if her voice is complimented.
she is very fragmentally multilingual. she knows a few words of most languages, but lacks fluency in any but Vesuvian, though she forgets words often. she tries to play it off and divert attention from it partially from an internal need to save face and partially from internalized shame- she thinks she needs to be perfect and has difficulty dealing with it when she’s not
mari
she embroiders! most of her clothes are embroidered and she does it all herself- she’s done a few things for asra as well. aside from regular designs, she embroiders protection sigils on just about everything. she has bad anxiety and it makes her feel safe knowing there’s something there.
she’s a very quiet person. she speaks very softly and if you don’t know her already, she abides by a self-imposed ‘speak only when spoken to’ rule that puzzles asra to no end. however both of her l.i.s ensure she gets to speak- asra intentionally, portia more subconsciously.
☄ for angsty oc ask :3
☄️: Does your OC struggle with their emotions and trauma? Do they find it easier to open up to strangers or those close to them if at all? Do they tend to hide their pain from everyone?
ayla: ayla has never had a pain she didn’t ignore, shove down and hide. she rarely opens up to anyone; though the times she has have been to the one person she could honestly say she was close to: her brother.
kann: kann is significantly easier to crack emotionally. he has an easier time opening up to strangers, because he sort of lacks a concept of object-permanence when it comes to strangers. he honestly forgets that he might encounter them again, so it’s sort of a no-consequence vent in his head.
bonus round for the child that still needs a proper intro
mari: mari refuses to ever view her pain as something that’s ever valid. she thinks she’s always overreacting or making things up, so she hides everything so she doesn’t look ‘too sensitive.’ she has a lot of trauma and just tries to act like it’s nothing. eventually she learns to open up, but it’s only ever to people she’s close to.
15. The Arts. Is your character a creative type? What kinds of things can they create? Can they act? Street perform?
thank you for the ask!!
kann: kann... he tries. god bless him, he tries. he has a lot of ideas but not really the ability to execute them. he often tries to pick up new pursuits, especially when asra’s off on a journey and he has nothing better to do. he keeps coming back to drawing, though his skills aren’t amazing. it makes him happy and that’s all the justification he needs to continue it.
ayla: she’s more of a logical person than a creative type. she does have a soft spot for music, however: she quite enjoys dancing and used to be a street performer. she’s skilled at it, too, and knows how best to dress to accentuate her movements. she still has her clothes from performing tucked somewhere in the shop- part of her wants to pick it back up someday...
mari: mari’s been embroidering for years- since she was a kid, really. it’s calming and very grounding to her. she also paints, though she’s far too nervous to show her work to people. the only person who’s seen her paintings is asra. she tends to prefer still lifes, but she’s painted a few portraits- one of which was of Faust for asra’s birthday. he adores it and has it hanging upstairs.
