Apprentice asks: 3, 4, 9, 11, and 12.
3– Wyx is an empath; she feels other people’s emotions as her own. Growing up in a tiny village that when one person was affected by something, the whole village was, was really difficult for her. She often had severe sensory overloads her older brother had to calm her down for. Upon moving to Vesuvia, however, she got a suppress magic charm tattooed into the back of her neck (in a private roleplay with a friend it done by Wyx’s housemate, Suny, but it was probably performed by Asra in any other setting) that allows her to know how other people are feeling, but it’s more of an aura instead of it overwhelming her own emotions.
4– It would probably be the Fool; Wyx is a naive disaster who just just stumbling blindly on her intuition. Because of her empathic abilities, she often carelessly and completely trusts people. If they are hostile to her, she will notice right away the change in attitude. Granted, this means she ends up surrounded by people who are of good will and good intentions but may be toxic in the long run.
9– Ravenclaw. Wyx is very curious about a lot of things, since Vesuvian culture is vastly different from the culture she grew up with. She’s kind of a devil’s advocate, too, and is always trying to find the truth in everyone’s perspectives.
11– Wyx is so sick of Asra leaving. Wyx is also sick of all the barely-there emotions that Asra puts off– she knows they’re there, she can feel each one bubbling beneath the surface, but he refuses to address any of them. On one hand, she hopes he leaves and never comes back. But another part of her, a larger part of her, is already so deeply attached that it’s more like; ‘Damn it, he’d better come back, otherwise I’m going to find him and kill him.’ She absolutely adores the art of tarot, again a thing that is wildly different from her more druidic village and the very arcane Vesuvia, and would have loved to practice with it had she not been disturbed that night.
12– Nadia scared her. Actually, Nadia still scares Wyx, but she’s learning to play her ‘game’. Nadia arrived to Wyx in such a state of distress that Wyx, being the absurdly compassionate person she is, wanted to help. But Nadia was feeling such deep-rooted negative emotions that night it almost overwhelmed Wyx– a thing that hadn’t happened since the Charm was placed on her neck– and Wyx was genuinely terrified of entering the palace gates and getting wrapped up in whatever the Countess was needing her for.
Thank you so much for the ask, by the way! Hope you don’t mind the paragraphs…
