High poly modelling practice as well as some basic work with mental ray and Maya’s material editor. I think if I were to redo this, I’d definitely change the bridge to make it more interesting, add a pick guard, and make coils around the tuning pegs. I’d also focus a bit more on the topology of the sound hole so that I would’ve been able to add some detail, like rings, around it. However, it works as is if I were to bake it down to a normal map, and do the sound hole details in a texture instead.
