hey! just a friendly reminder that a lot of "gen z slang", "queer slang", "tiktok slang" is actually appropriated AAVE
sometimes cultural appropriation is labeled as something else so you don't even realised you're doing it, y'know?
AAVE is African American Vernacular English. It's a dialect of english created by and for black people. Here is a resource about AAVE
white people in the past (and now!!!) have used AAVE to mock and ridicule black people, basically using them as a punch line in jokes. if you're white please check what slang you are using and how you are using it, you might be hurting people without fully realizing it.
