The Don's brought rosettes home!
What an amazing day at Apps Court in Walton on Saturday.
We had 2 teams entered - The Dons and Unorthodogz..... the dogs were in flying form (pardon the pun) and barely put a paw wrong in our first competition of the season.
We were all a little late starting - so the owners managed to chomp through 3 packets of chocolate fingers and 4 thermos of tea - all to keep the energy up mind you:-)
Unorthodogz (seeded 4th) led by Maureen and Tassi had a cracking time in their competitions, and won 2 out of 4 races - coming in at 3rd place with an amazing time of 22.32 seconds. All dogs got to race, then Maureen's competitive nature came through running the fastest dogs in the last race to secure a place!
The Dons (seeded 2nd) were led by Jenny (Alibi), her leadership meant that we won 3 out of 5 races with the best time of 22.08 seconds and got placed 3rd in the Division.
A special shout out has to go to Sei and Heather for box loading and coping with ever changing dogs.....
A really relaxed venue, the dogs had a blast - and loads of treats. My spaniel was so tired from the day he slept until 4pm the next day - when he decided a walk was necessary.
Best bits? The chocolate fingers, getting Garry to run faster than his already speedy collie Jasper (run Gary run!) and hanging out with the teams.
