Tailleur : N° 57 (« Touchez Pas ») – lignes épurées, audacieuse, rafraîchissante – avec sa faille de soie à pois souple ; sa veste à un bouton, cintrée à la taille ; et un débardeur blanc en soie, coupé en biais à l'encolure pour plus de douceur.

Chernobyl (2019)Mini tv series

In April 1986, the city of Pripyat in the Soviet Union suffers one of the worst nuclear disasters in the history of mankind. Consequently, many heroes put their lives on the line in the following days, weeks and months.

*Former Soviet General Nikolai Tarakanov (Ralph Ineson), gave several interviews about the series, which fascinated the Russian public upon its release. Tarakanov took issue with a few small details but otherwise praised the series and its depiction of the events, and stated he was portrayed accurately. Tarakanov, 85 in 2019, suffers from chronic disease related to radiation exposure from his time in Chernobyl.

Two of the most successful designs are presented here. Both are fitted, with flowing yet structured tops, slim, streamlined skirts, and decorative gold buttons. The one in combed cotton poplin, on the left, has a simple, t-shirt-like top with short sleeves. Vogue pattern no. 9486… The advantages of the one in combed cotton twill, top right: a convertible high neck and off-the-shoulder design. Vogue pattern no. 9277. Fabric: Tandler Textiles.
