The Dark Side of the Moon
How many times has that poem been written?
This singular moment
A thousand times
A million times
How many times it has hung just there
Waxing and waning
it’s eternal dance
The waves pulled to and fro
My heart aches
By its beauty
I only get this side of you
Your heart hidden
By the dark side of the moon

This evening’s full moon is April Pink Moon Over the Skies of Kyotanabe. I was caught a bit off guard and not prepared, but I saw something spectacular when I looked out from my wood deck. It was rising over the mountains, and it was a blood moon. I had to scramble for my camera and tripod but managed this. This, though, is a composite of two different exposures. A bit surrealistic, although quite close to what I saw.
