Pluots
So I went grocery shopping a couple nights ago and decided to check out the produce section. It was there that I saw a strange, yellow-ish round fruit called a "pluot". After some research, it was determined that it was a hybrid plum/apricot. I bought two of them, and they were really good, and now I want more, but my real question is this: Why on earth did they go with the name "pluot"? Like, of all the possible names for a plum/apricot hybrid, I think this is one of the very few that don't make it immediately obvious what it is. They're also sometimes called "apriplums". Why not go with that, Grocery Store? Step up your game. (Personally I would go with "plumpricot")
Anyway. I recommend pluots to anybody who enjoys fruits.
