Would you rent this guy's garage to live in for $2k per month? There were no takers, so it's off the market, but still listed just in case someone inquires. It's in Atlanta, GA and advertised as 1bd, 1ba, 1,400sqft. Lets see what you get. (Zillow estimates that it's worth $1,007mo., which is quite a discrepancy.)
It looks like they're going to continue to keep the car in here, so how does this work? They can enter your place whenever they use the car? WTH?
It comes with the furniture you see.
The kitchen is behind the sofa and has a stainless steel industrial sink. I can't get over the fridge- it's like a miniature of the one I have in my apt.
This is convenient, though, there's a washer/dryer.
Next to the couch, there's a white board or movie screen. Must be the landlady there.
Behind the screen is the bathroom. The sofa is pushed up against the coffee table, so maybe when a tenant moves in, they will put the car outside and push the furniture back.
The bathroom is a toilet, sink, and shower in one glass-enclosed space.
You can see through the glass closet between the kitchen and bath.
I guess they figure that the clothes will hide the bathroom.
Shelving wall on the way up to the sleep loft.
It's nothing but a platform. No railing or anything, just enough room for maybe a mattress and small end table.
Original floor and ceiling w/florescent light fixtures. I wonder if you can keep your car in here, too.
Hmmm. Saw this apt. on reddit. Should I consider a move to Jersey City...Love the building. JC is about 40min. away from current apt. and I don't know much about it, except that parts of it are sketchy. The rent is $2195, which would be a $300mo. saving (plus, when my lease is up, it will go up more).
These stairs attracted me- my kind of people.
Love the lobby. My bldg. has a utilitarian lobby. Look, swings!
Like the separate mail & pkg. room. Our mailroom IS the lobby.
Like the kitchen- mine's dated. Oooh, wine rack over the fridge. Doesn't have an ice maker in the door, though. I need my ice.
Good work triangle.
Nice living room.
Bedroom's a good size. My current one has a walk-in closet, though. Electric heat is almost double that of the natural gas I have now.
Bath is smaller than mine- I have a double sink and I need that counter space.
But, I really miss having a walk-in shower. Why is it so big though, w/shiny tile? This thing is going to really water spot.
Laundry room. Mine is in the unit. Have to put money in these, too.
The gym is bigger and the building also has indoor parking. Love that.
I have no outdoor space. They're building the 3rd phase of our complex and that building has a pool and everything, which those of us in phases 1 & 2 can't use, but for the same apt. their rent is $500mo more. (I resent being the poor relation, though.) I don't know. I sent it to the bf, see what he thinks.
