When I finally made it to Bangkok, I grabbed a Grab (hehe), which is the Asian version of Uber, and traveled to my hotel. The Amara Bangkok is a cute, boutique-style hotel with views of the city from all angles and a really dope rooftop pool. After fighting a nap following my 3.5 hour trip from Taipei, I visited the hotel restaurant in the basement for my first Thai meal of the journey, Hot and Sour Prawn Soup. I loved all the complex, savory and salty flavors and can’t wait to indulge in more.

Landed in Taipei early in the morning and was able to step into some good lighting before watching the sunrise. I have a long layover on the way back and I plan to do a little window shopping while I wait.

Enjoyed both dinner and breakfast on the 13 hour flight to Taipei. EVA Airlines had some really good movies to watch including Dr. Knock and I Am Not A Witch. Both are highly recommended.
