NINGNING (NING YIZHUO)
alleged birth time: 6:10 PM
At first, she seemed to be a Taurus rising, but after much calculation, I went with Gemini Rising in my opinion, specifically Rohini. Due to her late degree Sun (as she has confirmed once that she is a Libra, not a Scorpio since she was born on the cusp and the sun would’ve changed to Scorpio on 9:17 PM), which would put her chart ruler in tropical in 5H (Mercury 5H) which is the house of creativity and inspiration. This would also place her moon Taurus to be in the 12H.
Her 3H (Cancer) ruler is in 12H, and she is an only child, which is commonly found in the trait of this native. I notice that her 8H (the house of death, rebirth and transformation), in this chart is in Sagittarius, and I do believe this points to how she came all the way from China to South Korea to become a trainee, which would then ‘transform’ her as she has to adapt in a foreign land (as Sagittarius’ planet ruler is Jupiter, ruling over education, religion and also foreign land itself).
I notice her sun Libra 6H and moon Taurus 12H placement as well, and these two planets can point out to your parents’ profession and how your parents are like. Her dad is an architect and a designer, 6H theme talks about daily life, work and such, with Libra being the sign that provides beauty, harmony and symmetry (symmetry is one of the most important parts when it comes to architectural designs as it usually provides visual harmony). Her mom was a musician, 12H placements are usually found in musicians’ charts as this is the subconscious/spiritual part of you that has an effect on people, and Taurus’s theme is also to provide beauty (visual), wealth and comfort. You’d usually find comfort through music as it makes you feel understood.
In my previous post, I mentioned how Gemini placements have issues with studying. I know plenty of people who actually also dropped out and coincidentally, Ningning never really finished middle school as she started to become a trainee at 13 years old. She mentioned on Knowing Bros that she never went to high school either as high school in China starts at 15 years old or 10th grade. She has been open about her ADHD diagnosis, which makes it harder for her to read, paint or study properly.
I also notice her chart ruler (Mercury) falls into Libra 5H, and she is seen as a baby of the group due to being the youngest and being immensely creative, in tune with her artistry as well as the ‘sun’ member that lights up the atmosphere of aespa (not to mention, recognized as a strong vocalist who makes money off her vocals’ ability). Libra being there makes her appear very charming, harmonized and diplomatic to the public eyes. Her 9H would’ve been Aquarius, which I also found interesting since she has publicly announced to be an atheist and we all know Aquarius is the unconventional sign, 9H is the higher studies as well as religion and faith.
In Vedic, Rohini’s ruler is the moon, which you can see that she has the appearance of a typical cancer rising/moon ruled person who has a baby face. She also has Chitra sun and Chitra sun does have the tendency to appear feline as you know that tigers are the ancestors of cats, although more dominant. Interestingly, her Moon is in Krittika, the solar sign. I believe a combination of her big 3 Vedic being luminary makes her look quite similar to Jennie from BLACKPINK according to most people (seen here). Her Rahu 1H is interesting too because a lot of Rahuvian women are very in touch with their femininity and love appearing feminine. This post shows the physical traits of Rahuvian perfectly. From this article, one of the parts did mention weak sun and moon placements and if we go by the calculation, she has Sun 6H and Moon 12H. In the section for eye diseases, they mentioned the exact placement. Moon rules over the eyes, her Moon is in a solarian nakshatra (luminaries when also thinking about her lunar ruled ASC) in the 12H (and as she is a woman, this issue affects her right eye). Ningning has been open about her right eye being legally blind since debut, which correlates to this as well.
Ningning would also have Shravana as her MC and Shravana rules over ears. Ningning is regarded as one of the most powerful vocalists amongst her peers.

I first initially thought she would be a Cancer rising with Punavarsu as her nakshatra, but after much consideration and lots of calculation, I think she is an Aquarius rising in the nakshatra of Shravana, ruled by Rahu, with Cancer moon (Ardra) as well. Initially, Aquarius rising wasn’t my first choice (I thought it was Cancer rising) which then would put her moon in 1H, and personally, even from her predebut photos, she doesn’t seem to have this ‘baby face’ quality that I usually see on others.
In the tropical (system) chart, this would place her chart ruler (Uranus) to be in the 1H, along with Mercury 1H there, and with her being known as the futuristic beauty, it is no surprise. This would manifest similarly to Irene from Red Velvet under the same label, who is a confirmed Aquarius rising. Her MC also makes a trine to her Venus, and she was an ulzzang before becoming an idol, and this case seems to solidified with her being the visual/center member of aespa as well.
She also has a 3H stellium with planets such as Saturn, Mars and Jupiter residing in the sign of Taurus. She has spoken about her sister, mentioning that her sister is even more beautiful than she is and has a very positive relationship with her sibling thanks to the Jupiter there (in the sign of beauty). I do notice her voice’s tone is very unique, as it is husky, and has a wide range when singing as well as being very powerful, which I do think could contribute to her 3H placements. Her Venus 2H really heightens her beauty, as it sits in a very comfortable house. I also want to note that her 9H sits in the sign of Scorpio, and Karina has shown herself to be very devoted to her faith as a Catholic (such as praying before meals etc).
However, in the whole sign system, she has 4H stellium (containing Saturn, Jupiter and Mars), with Neptune and Uranus being in the 1H, as well as everything else. Her Venus Aries 3H effect can be seen on her voice as well, as most described her tone of voice to be powerful and husky.
In her Vedic chart, she has Shravana ASC which places her chart ruler in Saturn, her Saturn is in Bharani nakshatra 3H, She mentioned how she dreamed of being a flight attendant and Bharani’s recommended professions includes being a receptionist or tourist guide, which correlates to her current and previous desired profession (with both includes a lot of performing to the public eye and traveling overseas). Interestingly enough, having the moon prominent in both systems of her chart and there’s no surprise that many people, including myself, thought she was a Cancer rising at first. This nakshatra also represents having traditional values and given her background being a devoted Catholic, I believe that she would be following and living by those ideals. Her Rahuvian moon gives her cat-like eyes and sharp features (which are why most people believed she’s a Leo rising).
Side note: She has Shravana ASC and the nakshatra rules over ears. Karina has a long neck and a small face (due to her Mars Taurus, see fellow Mars Taurus’ Wonbin from RIIZE), and with this, it does put emphasis on her ears. Shravana natives do usually dislike certain features of theirs and she has publicly spoken on how she doesn’t like her short arms (fans affectionately call her a T-Rex). Her Rahuvian moon itself also gives her the infamous mole on her chin, as stated by this creator on Instagram. Her ardra nakshatra’s lucky letter includes K, G, N, C, and coincidentally, her bible name is Katrina, which she shortens to Karina to use as her stage name when debuting as a celebrity.

At first, I thought Giselle could be a Sagittarius ASC. But after much research and comparison, she shares similar features to those of Aqua placements (Dhanisthta). This would place her having Aquarius ASC (Dhanisthta ASC), Scorpio (Swati) Sun, and Sagittarius Moon 10H (Jyesthta moon).
In her tropical chart, her Aquarius rising makes her chart ruler fall into two planets such as Saturn Taurus 29° in the 3H (traditional) and Uranus Aquarius 16° in the 12H (modern).
Her chart ruler for Saturn falls into Taurus, a Venusian sign that symbolizes comfort, luxury, stability as well as beauty, and she has always gone viral for her beauty. 29° is a fame degree and she easily gains fame in the industry, 3H also is a mercurial/learning house and Giselle has always been a learner and easily adapted to her teachings.
Her chart ruler for Uranus falls into Aquarius, a Uranusian sign that symbolizes social media, connection, eccentricity and speed/fast moving. This makes her stand out from her members as she is half Japanese half Korean (Aquarius and Sagittarius are found in the charts of people who have diverse backgrounds). In the 12H (& stellium in this house too), shows her gravitates towards spirituality and one of the books she reads (shown from her livestream) was one on meditation and numerology. She was raised in 2 different cultures and this indicates a tendency to move to foreign lands, which is seen in her case as she moved from Japan to South Korea to begin her career.
Her 2H Pisces has its ruler, Neptune, falls into 12H, and Giselle has always been known for her softer and delicate tone, contrasting to her members’ vocals who are more stronger in this regard.
Her Sun Scorpio in 8H is what I notice as 8H is secretive, spiritual and it can be seen as taboo or unconventional by others. While she has never mentioned her biological father and keeping the subjects revolving around him a secret, she has mentioned her stepfather on multiple occasions and having a stepfather in general is seen as unconventional because the regular family dynamic in society is not like that. Her Sagittarius Moon 10H (and Venus in the same sign and house) also speaks about her mother as her mother is a fashion designer who works around the theme of femininity and beauty and you can see this has an influence on her taste as Giselle has always spoken about the path of going into the same industry as her mom if she wasn’t an idol.
In her Vedic chart, Giselle has Dhanishtha ASC, Swati sun and Jyestha moon. Dhanisthta general face shape is categorized by wide jaw, small to medium eyes and square face shape (as seen in Claire Nakti’s study). Giselle is the only member to also frequently participate and have shown her input on overall musicality and given that Dhanisthta rules over drums & flutes, it is no surprising that with this ruler, she shows interest in music and has a hand in writing and creating them. Her Jyesthta moon is interesting as it has been noted as the ‘millionaire’ nakshatra with them having connections to the wealthy and given her background (such as attending international school and her mother likely making fortune off being a fashion designer too, Giselle was already introduced to the life of wealth). She also has Jyesthta stellium and a lot of her facial mortifications really made the mercurial look shine through.
I also notice a lot of Mercurial women (in tropical and Vedic), really enjoy whining or making cute sounds, and Giselle wrote on her kpop profile that she likes to make whiny noises (which correlates to her Jyestha moon).
Her Venus AK has an obvious effect on her, as Giselle stated that if she wasn’t an idol, she would’ve been a fashion designer. Her Swati sun and mercury amplifies this (credit to this creator who linked the connection of Swati to cosmetics) as Giselle’s old photos and even her Vogue GRWM interview, she talked about how she was really experimental with makeup back in high school.

For Winter, she has always been a Pisces rising in my eyes (arguably very similar vibe to confirmed Pisces rising’s ROSÉ of BLACKPINK, Huening Kai from TXT and a suspected Pisces rising’s Sullyoon of NMIXX) due to her having a very ‘out of this world’ aura. Her moon is in fact in Pisces, but compared to fellow Pisces moon celebrities (Wonyoung of IVE, IU, Soobin of TXT), you can see that their vibes differ from Winter in general, as Winter seems lost in her own world. After much comparison and calculation, she turns out to be a Pisces rising, Capricorn Sun and with Pisces moon, which would put her Moon in the 1H. In Vedic, she is a Shatabishtha ASC with Purva Ashadha Sun and Purva Bhadrapada Moon.
In her natal chart, she has Pisces ASC with Neptune (her chart ruler) falls into the 12H. Pisces ASC in general have a softer appearance with sparkly eyes, glowing skin, possesses a whimsical aura, feels very delicate and mysterious and this also makes her very physically dainty. This also makes her look to be in her own world, often in her own head, thinking about a lot of things and have a tendency to be more introverted due to the chart ruler placement being in the house of solitude, isolation and the unseen. With this placement too, it reminds me of how SM first introduced Winter as the hidden ace to the public, the only member who didn’t showcase her skills in the teaser, alludes more to her mystery and elusiveness, which ends up garners attention from a lot of people.
Next, her 3H Jupiter in Taurus goes in two ways– she is known to have a big vocal range, able to switch from a powerful tone to a softer, dreamy tone, depending on the track, and has always been known for her stability in her vocals. In the family, she talks about looking up to her older brother a lot and is said to have a harmonious relationship with him. Her 4H Gemini is also interesting too, with Gemini’s ruler, Mercury, falling into Capricorn 10H (and her Sun, which is also in the same house and sign, with her Sun ruling over one’s father). Winter mentioned on how her childhood dream of joining the military because of her father and older brother being in one, which does make sense as Capricorn and 10H generally speaks to a position in power and requires a lot of restraint, endurance and discipline to make it through, which is exactly the kind of thing that is needed in the military.
I would like to add this interesting observation; in the beginning of aespa, Winter had skin issues (and it became a topic that some people would use against her) and interestingly, her 2H is in Taurus with its ruler being Venus Aquarius in 12H. She also has Saturn 2H, and this causes skin dryness, unpredictable condition, but with intensive care (12H also points to perfection with Venus being beautification), her skin issues faded.
In her Vedic chart, she has Shatabhisha ASC, Sun Purva Ashadha, Moon Purva Bhadrapada in the 1H. Shatabisha ASC puts the attention to her nose, and the segment from this, where female of the said nakshatra deals with chest pain, Winter was reported to undergo surgery for pneumothorax or collapsed lungs back in 2024 (from this article). Her Moon Jupiter in the 1H really describes how she really idolizes her father, and the Moon 1H speaks of a fluctuating appearance, which many people have always pointed out.

Lastly, I notice how all of them have Rahu/NN in open houses. Rahu is Maya, an illusion, its influence and expression is comparable to Uranus as Rahu is a spontaneous eccentricity. Aespa’s concept has always been centered around eccentricity, digitalization and media manipulation (with the usage of social media which is what Rahu is known for), and we can consider their CGI and visuals as something that are heavily manipulated and structured to give a certain eccentric illusion imagery. Giselle, Winter and Karina have Rahu 5H, Ningning with her Rahu in 1H. All of them have lunar nakshatra or moon in public houses, and with moon rules over the masses and people under the influence tends to gravitate towards changes (such as surgeries), the public tends to speculate a lot about the types of mortification they’ve received.

Given their possible relationship insecurities these two venus signs will seek for someone going at the same pace and someone with the same mindset, which realistically is hard to find. when they do think they’ve found it, they might later find out they were in fact wrong. 𓋼𓍊 Cancer/Leo Saturn- these natives lack discipline but want it. they might vent to you that they do not like their current monetary situation and are looking to make some changes in that aspect of their life, but the next day you see them spending all their money on clothes. they know this is wrong but will still do it. they may be prone to control people and situations because they think they know what’s best for everyone. however, they do not like people telling them what to do lol. they might be prone to burnouts easily and immune system problems.
𓋼𓍊 Sagittarius/Pisces Mercury- struggles to find something that feels “right” for them, when they do find it they mostly have to work harder than everybody else to catch up. problems with communication; either started talking late or have problems expressing themselves as they get older. prone to saying things that don’t make sense upfront which will make them have to explain themselves often. this might create insecurities that will lead them to express themselves less. this is the reason why I think so many great writers have these placements, they can just erase and reword their writing without being judged for it.

𓋼𓍊 Capricorn Moon- find it difficult to be vulnerable, this translates to needing or wanting material security to make sure they won’t need anyone. do not like to rely on anyone for emotional/financial support even if they really need it. despite all this, they are very emotional. the difference between them and their sister sign cancer is that they are not expressive with their emotions or act on them. something I have noticed is that they are not as workaholics as people might expect them to be, however when they work, they splurge on the money they make or might be stingy with it, as either one of these actions brings security to them. most of the times they don’t feel loved by either one of their parents even if they’ve both always been present in their lives.
𓋼𓍊 Aquarius Sun- natives are hard to describe for me because I have not met many of them, I feel like most hideaway at home lol. one thing i’ve noticed is that they cry a lot and are unapologetic about it. these people shine bright like their sister sign leo, the difference is they don’t want to so they avoid situations where they have to or when they are put in these situations they have to make sure their presentation is flawless. however in day to day life they do not really care how they’re perceived. they’re the ones that go to school in pijama pants. they also oftentimes seek some form of validation with other people, which is why they change partners often. very physically beautiful, but doesn’t seem to know or act on it.

random placement observations: natal chart edition pt. 1
DISCLAIMER: I am not a professional astrologer, this purely my observation based on repetitive patterns I notice within the signs, placements, houses etc. Take what I say with a grain of salt and understand not every astrology observation will resonate.
Aquarius moons and their mommy issues go under the radar too much. In my experience, I have noticed Aquarius moons have the most complicated, sometimes love/hate relationship with their mother's. There's usually some sort of disconnect between the placement person & their mom, and it is usually because the mom fails to fully understand Aquarius moon's personality, or need for personal freedom. Mothers to these individuals tend to have issues with boundaries -- either they are too overbearing, or too under involved -- which leads the Aqua moon person to sometimes want to crawl out of their own skin. I've also notice ppl with this placement having trouble with coddling by a mother figure, or generally having a harder time gaining independence due to the specific or unique way the person was raised.
Venus conjunct pluto: This aspect, to me, manifests very differently based on what chart it is in. Venus and Pluto making contact usually can suggest some obsession / hyperfocus becoming present in your life. While on one hand this can definitely suggest that a person with this natal placement can tend to be obsessive in love, or with money, material resources, etc - it usually mostly suggests the types of people, situations and relationships we attract. People with this people can naturally attract a lot of eyes and attention -- good and bad. Due to pluto's contact - the planet of death, obsession, sex etc -- with the love planet venus, this can suggest attracting obsessive partners. This can manifest in both a negative, and positive way. This placement can absolutely attract their spouse, love of their life etc -- but they can just as easily attract lots of unwanted, creepy attention. Also, if you have this placement there's a good chance you were sexualized as a child, or much sooner than you should have been -- I am sorry 😞
1H Luminary placements: these placements get such a bad rep in astrology imo lol. While the first house is the house of the self, this does not suggest a person with sun/moon in 1H being extremely selfish (which pop astrology suggests). In my experience, people with these specific placements have them to learn what it means to find & live in your own truth. I find that people with these placements (sometimes venus 1H and Mercury 1H too) are very selfless and might actually neglect giving themselves the energy of the planet in their first house. For example, to the outside world, a Sun in 1H person might seem confident, extroverted even (sometimes, the opposite is true) but on the inside, this person actually struggles with their identity and confidence a lot. they ask themselves who they are, who they want to be, as much as they think about breakfast. They can be too hard on themselves which can make them hyperfocus on themselves, their lives, their goals etc., -- but it is literally part of their life purpose to go through these cycles which to the outside world, looks like the person is being selfish. Same is said for Moon in 1H --these people are considered manipulative, secretive, very emotional -- but the truth is, they might have gone their whole lives holding onto emotions that were never allowed to be released. Perhaps this individuals pushes their own feelings away to always make space for others. These people are extremely empathetic and while there will be a few rotten apples out there, the good majority of people with this placement are not awful emotionally selfish people, they are just here to learn how to honor, accept, and transmute their emotions just as often as they help others do the same.
Having lots of 3H, 6H, 10H placements usually makes a person really busy, or manifests as someone with anxiety especially anxiety that arises from the lack of work. These placements are the real workaholics but to an extreme level. I know someone with a 6H stellium & 10H Saturn who at one point worked 3 jobs and was a full-time uni. student. Same person is now a NICU nurse, actively getting two more masters degrees, so yeah, y'all like to keep busy. I have noticed these placements have big issues with time management, especially when it comes to any personal time you give yourself (do you even give yourself any time to wind down? like lets bfr 🙈). As a taurus moon I feel compelled to remind you that you literally need rest to accomplish all the things you want to do! What good is pushing past your limits if you feel exhausted constantly?
Jupiter in 4H -- I have a question, how was your childhood? I feel this placement can manifest in lots of ways, I feel for some of you maybe you had lots of siblings, more brother's than sisters. You could be the younger child. Jupiter is about expanding whatever it touches, so when its in the 4H it is essentially "growing" in that area. This could mean having lots of siblings, but in the same extreme, this could mean having none. The could have manifested in a happy, healthy home & family dynamic. This can just as well manifest as serious family trauma (generational trauma), or serious and repetitive familial themes and karmic cycles. You are here to learn something about balance in regards of the home, lineage, magic, traditions, wisdom, and love in general. Because Jupiter is in the 4H here, you will have a lot of opportunity to have luck in terms of buying a home, relocating, or in general "leveling up" in a secure way. But jupiter does not give just to give... if you want the blessings of jupiter you can't be stagnant -- this is something else jupiter in 4H seems to struggle with. I've noticed y'all can get lazy 😭 If you grew up in a happy home (hell or not) and had a parent (s) figure do everything for you, then the time you hit adulthood will be a rude awakening. Same is said for those with overbearing or controlling parents with this placement. Remember that jupiter is not just about luck, its mostly about expansion, so having things go your way, or having a support system that fails to teach you how to be independent will make things difficult for you when you have to be. Using Jupiter in 4H energy to your benefit looks like breaking generational curses, ending self-destructive patterns, watching negative habits such as alcoholism, drug abuse, and gambling, and in general, actively making better choices.

For example: when I’m at a party, I need to break away my Virgo rising - it will not let me freaking dance, I’m too rigid at first for anything - but will talk to anyone. When I am drunk, I become even more overly chatty than I already am, giggly, will dance with cation - will have my sensible side just at the go incase I need to help. So I guess I’m a mixture of my Cancer moon and AQUARIUS VENUS COS I FLIRT WITH ANYTHING. a seep of my Pisces sun. (but if I’m on wine - I’ll cry so pisces sun - BUT I bet u not, I will change up in 2.5 seconds and say let’s dance).
Does this make any sense? Reasoning behind this post, I got drunk at a friends birthday last night (covid rules were in place don’t worry) I ended up throwing up all over passed out by 12am. I’ve been awake since 5:30am. I feel shocking. I also got drunk the night before.
Promise I don’t have a problem, just how my country does things when you finally turn 18 - you get absolutely mortal for the rest of your life.
