Tos x 1800 : Incense & Innocence. Eugene local artists have been making a lot of noise on this blog the past year. Producer 1800 especially has kept his name in the limelight by continuously working hard in the studio on new projects. Give him credit, it is really starting to pay off. The man has noticeably improved his craft on every mixtape he's worked on. 1800s latest project involves Tos, the relaxed, rhymesayer who makes you want to stop what you are doing and just listen to his chill, and personal lyrics. These stories, while paired with 1800s boom bap beats, give a solid hearing the entire way through. Even though this is Tos' first mixtape, he gains your undivided attention with the way he pronounces his words and the feelings they evoke while you listen. Add in his wise, beyond his years, civilian like understanding of the world around him and you have the foundation of something that deserves at least a one time play over your speakers.
