20 Mary, 50 Teryn?

Yes! Mary thinks animals are absolutely fascinating! She can’t really choose a favorite, though, she likes them all. And when it comes to mythological creatures, after ending up in New Home, she’s pretty open to the idea!

As of now, they’d probably not even realize they have a crush and think of it as ‘Hey!!! I really really really like this person and want them to be my bestest friend!!!!!!’ and drag them along on adventures constantly. 

But when they’re older, they’d probably write a love letter or something of that sort confessing it. They’d also be extremely tsundere about their crush to anyone who teased them about it.

Teryn pretend-lurches backwards, making over exaggerated death noises.

“OH NO!!!! I’ve been....hr ghrgh......defeated!!!” They keeled over backwards.

“Goodbye, cruel.... evil world.....!!!! Bleghh.....” Teryn stuck their tongue out.

Teryn made a focused, pouty sort of face as they attempted to get a hold on the chopsticks. Their face was flushed.

“I- I’ve got this! Heroes can do anything they-!” They drop the chopsticks and suck in a breath.

Teryn will not be defeated by two wood sticks and some noodles.

~Tears like crystal~

Drip, drip, drip.

Teryn watched as their tears fell, one by one. That was all they seemed to be able to focus on, now, as the droplets shimmered and sparkled in the light. It was a soft light that radiated from the Echo Flowers and the ceiling's ‘stars’. 

Drip, drip.

They slowly rolled down Teryn’s cheeks. They just wanted to go home. They just wanted to wake up. Their stomach growled. Their stomach hurt. Teryn was shaking, and they could feel how unsteady their limbs were. 

Drip.

Teryn lay down on their side now, and watched as the drops rolled over their nose. Watching as they rolled away from their face, slowly building into a small pool. 

...

The enlarged droplet shone in front of them, bouncing light to and fro in a surreal reflection of everything around them. They were so tired. The light was so pretty. It was like a crystal . How long had they been dreaming? They wanted to wake up now. They wanted breakfast. 

 Teryn closed their eyes.

Good night.

Teryn giggles as Callisto kisses them on the cheek. They give them a quick peck back, and a big bear hug.  

They love their older sibling lots, and proceed to scream in their ear the exact phrase that expresses this:

“Wait, how do you know my name?” A few seconds’ pause, and then a gasp. “Are you a psychic?” Teryn was starry-eyed, they’d never met a psychic before!
