Good catch! Forgot to add them last night ^^;
Tithonites are insect/arachnid/mollusc people, and they fall under 2 categories: Monstrous and Mythical
The Spider girl in chapter 2 was a Monstrous Tithonite, with a large traditionally frightening form and features. You’ll also see in Chapter 3 at the Library two butterfly Tithonites, who are the size of wine glasses but with traditionally beautiful bodies.
Equally, a spider Tithonite could have a Mythical form and appear beautiful, whereas a butterfly Tithonite could appear monstrous. There’s a larger amount of Mythicals to Monsterous, but it’s around a 70/30 split.
Creatureborn, Aquafolk and Tithonite magic manifests all in slightly different ways too.
Creatureborn magic is always associated with the animal they’re based on. Canines are speedy and have good hearing, Avians are light with good eyesight, an Equine would be strong with high stamina etc
Aquafolk have a more ‘fantastical’ magic manifesting in water manipulation- be it telekinesis, boiling, freezing or creation
Tithonite magic is also based on their animal form, but with a fantastical twist. Spider Girl could create webbing, but said webbing was enchanted to tighten on contact with objects. A firefly Tithonite would have the ability to glow, but could then manifest that glow as an orb that can exist away from their body.
Thanks for the question!
