aquamregis said “same” – – “You know you’re fucked when Namor agrees with you.”
aquamregis said: see i bought a new one and got, like, 20 nibs. i would totally send you half of them because i really dont use it that often
// Aww that would be really sweet, but I think they might not fit anyways Dx it’s a rather old bamboo and I’m having trouble finding the right nibs for it

Kyle sat on the stool and gathered his paints. He smiled past the canvas as he surveyed the king lounging on the sofa. He cracked his knuckles and took a deep breath, then started mixing his paints.
“It’s been a while since we’ve done a royal portrait,” he said. “It’s nice getting to paint you again.”
The artist started daubing paint on the canvas, glancing back and forth between his work and his subject. It had been a while now since he moved to Atlantis, and now he spent almost all his time in Namor’s presence. He was nervous at first, but the more time he spent down here, the more used to it he got.
“God, you are beautiful, you know that?”

❝ I'm doing it right. I've done this before. ❞
“When?” He tries to move away from Namor, as if that is going to somehow persuade him to stop.

Despite the warning, Garth flinches and lets out a rather pitiful whimper. The gash on his arm isn’t particularly big, but Garth has never been very good at pain, or keeping his emotions hidden.
“M-maybe you’re just doing it wrong,” he replies, his eyes squeezed shut as he tries to avoid even thinking about the needle stitching up his arm. “B-because it hurts a lot.”
