Niall walks over to his dresser, and opens the top drawer.
"What are you-"
Niall interrupts you by holding up one finger at you, and turns around. In his hand, a little blue bag. He pulls out a tiny box, and your heart stops for a moment. Is this really happening?
"In New York that day," Niall begins to explain, "I was missing you more than ever. So...I had one of the roadies come with me to help me pick this out for you."
Niall walks over to you and opens the box. It's a thin, silver ring, with a tiny diamond placed perfectly in the center. You gasp in surprise. "I- Is that-"
"Now, this isn't an engagement ring," Niall continues, "but it's a promise. A promise that I'll stand by you forever, even when things get rough- especially then. But it's also a request that you'll do the same for me. I hope you'll accept it."
You nod excitedly as your angry tears become tears of joy. He slips it onto your ring finger, and you can't stop beaming. He lifts up your chin gently and brushes his lips against yours, then kisses you more deeply. You fall back onto the bed, and he softly brushes your hair out of your eyes. You feel Niall's breath on your neck, as he whispers, "Forever."
