Yes. :) My visa’s up so I’m heading back. I have friends taking care of the fish until the winter restriction’s up for pets in cargo. Then I can have the fish flown back to me.

If I might make a suggestion for future posts, would you be able to include information on whether certain houseplants are toxic to cats and/or dogs? I do know that spider plants are very toxic to cats, but I worry about others who have cats and want plants as well.

Great tip, I did a quick search and not many sites include that in their standard caresheets. I’ll try to add it if I can find information about it. The ASPCA lists spider plants as non-toxic to both cats and dogs, so unless your personal experience has taught otherwise I think your source was mistaken here. Which is great because yay, spider plants!

I was tagged by @calling-all-critters ! Fave Color: Blue Pets: Lapis the betta and a Jasper, my dog. Freddy's family dog is a shih tzu named Nugget and he counts too since I'm living here lol Wake Up Time: 5am during the week. On weekends it varies Cats or Dogs: Honestly I can't choose, I love both Coke or Pepsi: Coke probably Day or Night: Night. Fishblr, help! I just got this to give my plants a boost, and I am a complete novice. These questions may sound silly, but I really have no idea! I set up as directed. Now, when I put it in my tank, do I let the water fill up the chambers ? I. E. If I put it straight in it would be full of water, yes? Second, I turn the knob thingy and then I got a great big whoosh and big old bubbles coming out of the top hole. Is this correct? I then turned off the knob, and it said to do this twice a day. So, will the top chamber look empty? Atm it has a cm of water in the bottom. The bottom chamber is full of water. Have i set this up right? So apparently a little hair algae is more dangerous than I thought :/

Banana feesh somehow managed to get tangled in the roots of my frogbit and some hair algae growing off said roots. I found him before he suffocated but his whole head was wrapped up and he was totally trapped (feesh, how???). I was as careful as possible extricating him but I’m not sure if he damaged his eye or if I did. Either way, it got pulled out of its socket and banana feesh is now a pirate (I was thoroughly freaked out by this whole series of events and was trying not to completely lose it while helping him get free - shudder)

He’s back to flaring and building bubble nests, eating lots, 48 hrs later, but I’m afraid his socket is going to get infected. Should I give him a salt bath or treat proactively with antibiotics?
