Still pretty slow on the drawing side of (worldbuilding) things, I don’t know if it’s the weather, the need for vacation, me growing older or everything at once. Nonetheless, here’s something I made in May :)
It’s a first series of ideas and sketches for a semi-aquatic predator which developed from corioalars. As soon as the sea recedes and reveals the tidal flats, they come down from the hills and hunt smaller creatures feeding on sea snails, lugworms and other marine life. They are also able to chase fish in shallow water, using their wing-fins for additional propulsion.
I really like the overall design, but the legs don’t work for that environment. Gotta update them at some point in the future :)
