Did you know that Lei's Swamp Flasher (Aquatica leii) is one of 9 known species of aquatic fireflies? They're only aquatic in their larval form and even then they can't swim so they stay on the bottom of their freshwater habitat and try to feed on snails that meander by. With the exception of the few days as a pupa, this species can glow throughout its life.
