You Don't Have To Read the Nonsense In This
Something occurred to me just this 2pm. My grandparents (aunt and uncle of my mom) came to our house today to check up on my great grandmother. See, she's 96 years old and weak, so yeah. My brother called me and told me they were here, so I went out and greeted them. My aunt (the wife of my mom's cousin) then asked me where I'll be schooling this June. [Side note: Here in my country, our choice of school isn't based on where we live. We (or our PARENTS to be exact) choose our schools. We can go to a school as far as an hour's drive away, as long as we can get there on time every school day. And our school starts on June and summer starts March.] My parents brought me up in such a way that they taught me to think of what I'm going to say before saying it. I did just that. As I opened my mouth to say the words "Legazpi Hope (that's the shorter way of saying our school, "Legazpi Hope Christian School), I closed it just as immediately and realized in a split second that I wouldn't be studying at Hope anymore. "Aquinas po," I replied to my aunt, forcing my lips into a faux-smile. (By the way, "po" here is a meaningless word put into sentences to make it sound more respectful towards others.) Get the whole occurance I was talking about? As I'd said, our parents are the ones in charge of pretty much our whole education. And that sucks sometimes, to be honest. I was about to answer "Hope", the school I had been in for the past seven years. And now, because of my parents' decision, I'm transferring to a school I've never wanted to study in--Aquinas High School (no offense to the Aquinians reading this). I love Hope so much, I can't even not say that as the answer to the usual question, "Where will you go to school next year?" without pausing myself to think. The occurance towards me: I love my previous school so much I can't seem to leave it. I can't even put my mind to the fact that I'm supposed to call myself an Aquinian next year. I don't want to call myself an Aquinian next year.
